"I love it!" I cheered
"Though you would I'll be it for you, my treat" he smiled
"Thanks sir" I smiled back uncomfortably. He put the suit on the checkout and the cashier looked at him
"Looks a little small for you." She smiled
"That's uh... that's because it's mine for prom" I replied
"Oh honey! There's a dress shop just opposite us. That's where you belong" she smiled again
"Excuse me?!" I raised my voice slightly
"I'm sorry but this won't suit you. You're not a male sweetie. You're a female. Your boyfriend will never like you in this. I don't think I can let you embarrass yourself." The cashier lectured me.
"Okay well one: you've just embarrassed me. Two: I just so happen to be gay. Three: I'm getting that suit. Four: Where's your manager?" I questioned. She refused to tell me and I started to raise my voice.
"Just let me have the suit what do you have against it?!"
"You're female! This is a males"
"And?! Just give me the suit!" I went to grab the suit and I felt someone pull me back.
"Let's just go." Marchant said
"Fine!" I agreed
"Yeah get your ugly ass gay female body out of here!" The cashier shouted. I ran towards the desk and pushed her to the ground.
"What kind of insult was that?! Your insult was almost as gay as me love! Just give me the suit!" I yelled. The next thing I knew Liz, Ella and my mom was crowded around. Mr Marchant had to explain the whole thing and I finally got my suit. When I got out the shop Ella started laughing. Then Liz joined in. Then I joined.
"You should've seen yourself." Liz laughed
"Yeah and we could hear you from the shop!" Ella chuckled. We laughed it off and got in the car back home.

When we got back we tried on our outfits and showed our parents and Mr Marchant.
"Love the suit Lydia!" My mom said
"Thanks! Sir chose it! I don't know how he knew what I liked!" I smiled.
"Love the dresses you two!" I said to Liz and Ella. I got back into my normal clothes and went upstairs. It was all quiet as Ella and Liz were doing homework downstairs and the adults were talking quietly amongst themselves. Later on that evening I went for a bath then bed. I woke up around midnight and needed a drink.
"You can't keep it a secret forever." Someone whispered
"I know I know!" Another whispered
"When do we break the news?"
"I'm not sure." I went back upstairs and decided not to get a drink. As I sat in bed my mind was racing. Who was that? What was the secret? Who was the secret for? I heard footsteps come up the landing. I closed my eyes and I heard my door open then close moments later. The house was silent and calm. But my mind was busy and loud.
