Chapter 7

"I see my gift was useful." I smiled the next morning at breakfast.

"Didn't use it." Luke winked at me.

"YA WHAT?!" I exclaimed.

"I'm joking!" He laughed. I joined in laughing and Ella finally came to the breakfast hall. She looked round at us all smirking. She rubbed her head and went and got herself some food.

"Remind me next time to get ear plugs." Mr Marchant laughed as Ella came back with her food. Her eye's widened and she and Luke went bright red with embarrassment. We all laughed at their reactions.

"Well then." Ella said. After we ate we got into the car and went back home.

"I can't be assed with school!" I huffed the next morning.

"But you guys have your favourite lesson with your favourite teacher!" Mr Marchant smiled

"Oh yeah we have science with Mr Williams" I laughed. I got a frown from Marchant and a laugh from Ivy, Liz and Ella. We got on the bus to school and today Mr Marchant had to join us. His car got slashed last night so now I'm squished between Ivy and Mr Marchant!! Awkward much? As we entered the school I saw Kim and Early. We walked past them and I could see Mr Marchant wasn't too happy. Me, Liz, Ivy and Luke walked to Mr Williams room while Ella hung back with Marchant. Ella arrived just as the bell sounded for lesson to begin. She took her seat and the teacher began the register. He did it this time in an Australian accent. I do not know why.

"You're gonna leave this lesson drooling" He said after registration. Me, Ella, Liz and Ivy looked at each other confused. I wrote his quote down on a piece of paper. "Oh wait no you're not sorry we have something else to do" he smiled.
"Awe" me and Ella laughed in unison. After the lesson ended I went to PE.

"Lydia" Ella winked at me nudging me arm.
"It's getting a little chilly here" she laughed.
"You're just jealous cos Marla ain't happening" I winked. We all got changed and went into the sports hall. We were doing basketball today. Great. Just. Great.
"Okay. Lift your leg up, jump and let go off the ball" the teacher said. And everyone did just that. Everyone except me that is. "You okay Lydia?" Mr Chambers asked, walking my way.
"Yeah." I replied
"You sure? Come on just lift your leg up. You can hold my hand if you want."
"I'm good." I laughed with a shakeup voice.
"I can see this is nerve racking so I won't push you."
"Thanks you." I smiled as he left.
"Yummyyyyy" said Ella, sliding past me. I rolled my eyes and threw the ball at the hoop. We were allowed a 5 minute break and as I walked back this is what I heard. "You know all that salt water you drink from the sea? Well fish have had sex in that" Mr Chambers said. Yum? We went back in the hall and was practising throwing the balls.
"Step away from Ella a little bit Lydia don't want her getting hurt" he chuckled
"What?! I'm good with... balls..." I replied.
"I'm sure you are" he winked, walking off. Awkward.

Last lesson was with Miss Bitchface aka miss Tew. Let's not get into detail about what happened there.
