Chapter 1
Cry's POV
Another day, another time spent on being insane. Mad appeared next to me and flicked my head.
"What's up fucktard?" he asked. I sighed and shook my head.
"Why do you call me that?"
"Because i can fucktard. Come on, we have school." he said. I sighed again and followed him to the car. I drove, so he couldn't crash... on purpose. We made it to school safely and inside. Freshman rushed around, confused at the new scenery. Sophomores, like me, just made our way to our lockers. Mad went to his a few down from me, while i had mine and pulled out my advanced language textbook. Passing Mad without a word, i went to class.
As i sat down i noticed a new student. He had his head down, but i could see his sandy blond hair. If i could, i would say he was cute. A girl sat next to him, shaking him lightly. She had black hair and dark blue eyes that seemed clouded over. Was she blind?
"Felix." she whispered. She had a Swedish accent to her voice. He groaned slightly but ignored her. She smiled softly and raised her hand over his face for a few moments. Then she struck him. Hard.
He cried out in pain and swore in another language.
"Bloody knut, Ferida." He shouted. The girl smiled at something behind him.
"Glad to see you awake." she commented. Felix groaned and sat back down as more people came in. They whispered between each other before class started.
"Attention everyone with pitiful lives. We have new students, not that it matters. Everyone welcome Felix and Ferida." our teacher greeted like everyday. We grunted a hello and Ferida waved at no one in particular.
"Ferida, would you like to read chapter seven for us?" Mr. Sanders barked. She tensed a moment before opening her book and staring at a random page. Felix noticed and tried to help her by flipping to the right page.
"Mr.Kjellberg! I believe she can find the page on her own!" Sanders barked. Was he a idiot? She was clearly visually impaired! With a glare, Felix forced himself to sit back. Ferida struggled with finding the right page, tears threatening to fall. People started snickering at her.
She stopped at the wrong page and looked at the teacher.
"S-sir? Did you get the form from my mother and father?" she asked. He grunted and opened his junk drawer. He pulled out a slightly crumpled paper and read it out loud.
"Mr.Sanders.
I wish to inform you that our daughter, Ferida Kjellberg, is blind. We are sorry if this complicates things. Signed Meridith and Devan Kjellberg. Well, i believe this to be a sham!" he slammed the paper on his desk. Ferida jumped.
"B-but sir-"
"My sister is blind!" Felix shouted. Sanders eyes widened.
"I don't like your tone. Did you think i was born yesterday? I have seen this trick before. Now get over it and read the passage." he said. Ferida was crying now, sobbing that our stupid teacher couldn't believe someone could be blind. I stood up.
"Sanders. I can see with my own eyes she can not see. If you believe this to be wrong, you, sir, are a idiot." i said. Sanders slammed his fist in the desk.
"OFFICE! CRY! NOW!"
"Gladly." i said. As i walked past, Felix gave me a nod of gratitude. I nodded back and left.
