Chapter 4
Cry's POV
After the little... "incident" with Mad in lunch, we went to gym. Personally, i hated gym, but Felix seemed to like it. We threw on our gym uniforms and stood in a line. Mad came out of the locker-room, glaring at us and standing at the end of the line.
"Alright maggots!" our coach shouted at us.
"Today is Dodgeball!" Some of the kids cheered, others looked worried. I saw Mad smile.
"Get in groups on one side of the field and be ready! Today, we're using the hard balls." Shit. The hard balls were made out very hard rubber, and when it hit, it hurt. A lot. Felix, Ferida and i got in a group with Minx, Russ Red and Scott.
The coach blew the whistle, and it was on. We rushed forward, Minx hitting a guy in the arm, Scott hitting a girl in the chest and Red and Russ both tagging a dude. Soon, Minx was hit, then Scott, then Red and Russ. Ferida, who was doing a great job so far, dodge a ball and accidentally hit it with her foot. She smiled, walking the wrong way but was quickly fixed by Felix, and he was quickly hit. As he left, he gave me a warm hug. Mad's face turned from smug to angry in seconds.
Now it was Mad and i. We starred each other down, brother to brother. Suddenly, he picked up a bunch of balls (can't get over that) and threw them at me. I used my ball to block them, then threw some back. This went on for the most part, until there was one ball left, in the middle. Quickly, we both rushed for it, grabbing hold at the same time. Mad elbowed me harshly in the eye and took the ball for himself. My eye sealed shut and stuck on the ground, i knew i had lost. Mad smiled. Then tapped my shoulder with the ball.
"End game!" Coach shouted. Mads team cheered and taunted us, while our team gave hugs. Felix checked me, asking if i was hurt anymore then my eye.
"No, i'm fine." i said. He smiled. We all changed and went to the busses, not noticing the taunting winning team behind us.
This got erased the first time, and it was longer, but i was way to mad and lazy to fix. Sorry. :/
