Chapter 5

(Harper's POV)

Mazi Ran from my arms and up the stairs slowly, Well maybe it was just slow for me. I heard the door slam and Porter came into the living room. "Where is she?" He asked sounding concerned more than scared. I smiled faintly About to answer when Aunt Lily's office door swung open. "What Happened!? Is Maze okay?" She asked frantically "Yes!" everyone calm down. Porter I know you won't want to, but it's best if you go home i'll make sure she calls or texts you." I said. His face fell "But," he sighed "Okay." He said before grabbing his things and walking out the door. Once the door was closed I turned to Aunt Lily and started talking "She was swimming with Porter and used her powers somehow, She is very upset and is now in her room, She wasn't hurt. She will be okay." I told her. I sat back down on the couch and took a deep breath after Aunt lily went up to Mazi's room. I started watching supernatural on netflix when I got a skype call from Dan. I answered it "Hey!" "Hi!"

(Porter's POV)

I was driving home, sitting in soaked jeans thinking about what had just happened. She controlled the water. She can control Water! What kind of drugs had I been on I wondering knowing I sounded crazy. She's like a...Water Bender! I tried to understand as much as possible. Why was she so scared, Why was she scared! Didn't I deserve to know what happened. I should have gotten out of the pool when she told me. Is this my fault? It's not right? Oh god it's my fault. Did she know she could do that? How long has she been able to do that. Is that what people were talking about on tuesday? About the water stopping? Was she ever going to talk to me again? OH LORD! I tried to stop thinking about it and pulled into my driveway. I walked up to my door and into the house. "Hey mom." I said taking of my shoes in the doorway. "Hey Hun, I already put up dinner but you can heat some up." I faked a smile "I'm good. Thank You." I walked up through the living room and into my room, not expecting to see anyone but there Sam was on his tablet watching minecraft videos. "Hey!" I shocked him and he paused his video. "It's almost nine! Why are you still up?" He sat up and said "What are you going to do about it?" I rolled my eyes I wasn't going to fight him tonight. "MOM!" He got up and ran "I'm sorry don't ground me!" He squealed. I sighed. I plopped on my bed and tried to sleep. Of course I couldn't. I grabbed my phone and headphones and plugged them in. I watched videos on youtube for hours waiting to get sleepy. I checked the time 12:47am. I put down my phone and closed my eyes. Sleep. Sleep. Sleep. God! Why can't I sleep!

(Mazi's POV)

"Mom It's 1am, Let me go to sleep. I'm fine" I said "Okay Maze Good Night." She replied, she kissed my forehead and started walking out. When she closed the door it opened immediately and a breeze came in. "Call Him." Harper Started. "No. He is probably asleep and is probably freaked out about me and won't answer." I replied sluggishly. "Nope! He isn't freaked out he was only concerned. I promised him you'd call him, So you have to!" She persisted. "I will tomorrow." I said. The Breeze returned and next thing I knew The phone was up to my hand and dialing and Harper was on the other side of the room with crossed arms and a smile.

Crap!

"Hello?" He sounded tired. "Did I wake you?" I asked cringing. "No, I haven't been able to sleep." He replied "Sorry." I said sheepishly, Trying to Dodge the Elephant in the room. It was silent for about 30 straight seconds. "Are you a waterbender?" He blurted out. I burst into laughter just because I never heard it called that before. I finished laughing "S-sorry I have just never heard that question before...But it's true. I have Hydrokinesis." I answered. "So you're serious, I'm not crazy?" I chuckled nervously "Nope you're not crazy." "I'm sorry," Porter spoke. "For What? I'm the one you pushed you up against the pool wall." I asked "It wouldn't have happened if I listened and got out of the pool." he replied "You're kidding right? It's my fault and you are being really awesome and not running away from me and not telling everyone and not thinking I'm a freak!" I rambled. "Listen, I have to go to bed. I'm looking forward to seeing you monday. Goodnight Maze." Maze He called me Maze! "Goodnight Porter." The call ended and I smiled. "I'm so sorry Harper, i should have listened to you. You are the queen and I am a peasant. I shall never be able to repay you." Harper mocked. "Sorry Harper." I spoke. She smiled and walked out. I layed my head on my pillow and went to sleep.
