THIRTY NINE

Normal P.O.V

Mingyu and Hyejin are still kissing but someone keep staring them with broken heart. She saw everything and she feels so broken. Minah turns hurt when seeing them. She tried to covers her sobbing but failed.

Hyejin suddenly heard that sobbing and quickly pulled away from Mingyu. They were still looking at each other, trying to process what happen. But Hyejin remembering the sobs sound, looked around for its sources.

Hyejin P.O.V

When I looked around try to find the sound, I saw that person with my eyes wide open.

“M-Minah?” I said. Mingyu also seems shocked when see her.

“I-I didn’t mean to interrupted you two. I-I just… I’m sorry!” Minah run away from there with tears streaming down her face. 

“Mingyu, I think you better go after her.” I said while looking at him through his eyes.

“but how about y-“

“don’t worry about me. okay, I admitted I like you but I know you love Minah right? Now please, go after her. I’m scared if something happen to her.” I said while tried to holding my tears. He keeps looking at me with his disbelief face but I pushed him to start walking.

“yah! Don’t just stand there! Don’t worry about me. I’ll always support you and always remember that I’m always here for you.” I said forcing myself to smile but my tears already fall down. I just don’t want to see me like this so I ran away from him too. I think today is the last day we’ve been together.

Mingyu P.O.V

I don’t have any choice but chased Minah.

The place with her house is not that far and I bet she’s already back home. She saw me with Hyejin then she’s crying. I’m confused right now. I already arrive at her house and knock the door about many times and called her name. then, the door were open but that makes me shocked. A man just opened the door.

“may I know you are you?” he asked me. I look at him with confused reaction.

“I’m Minah’s friend. Childhood friend.” I answered him and he just look at me.

“it’s okay.” suddenly Minah comes out from his behind. I look at her and her eyes already swollen.

“so, this is the person that you told me?” the guy said. Minah nodded at him slowly and look at me again.

“I will talk to him all of this.” She said then exited the house. I just follow her with confused one. What’s going on?

“may I asked who is that guy?” I asked her. She stops walking and turn around to face me.

“before I answer that, I want to say sorry about that.” she said with low voice. I feel so guilty right now.

“look, I didn’t  meant to hurt you or Hyejin.” I started off.

“but you still did.” She said and starts to cry again.

“I’m so sorry. I was confused with my own feeling just because of that stupid contract.” I said while groaned to her and she look at me with confused one.

“contract?” she asked. so I gonna tell her the truths.

“yes. Mine and Hyejin’s relationship was all because of a contract.”

“so, you lied to us?” she asked.

“and yes. But it was unintentional. The purpose of that contract was to make someone jealous?”

“and who’s that person?” she asked with raised her eyebrows.

“you.” I said then pointing at her. Her reaction turns shocked and closed her mouth with her hands.

“m-me?”

“yes, you. You’re my first love and I was desperate back then. So, when I found the chance, I blackmailed her to make her agree about the contract.”

“you blackmailed her?”

“huhh, yes. Because I have something important to her, she agreed. I was so cold to her but then she made me realized that there’s a lot to see in this world. She changed me, to the better side. And I never noticed that I was slowly falling in love with her.” I tell Minah all the truth but with a smile on my face.

“M-Mingyu… I”

“I love you Minah, Park Minah. But, I’m deeply in love with Hyejin.” I said with sincerity and confident. I looked at her and waiting for her answer. Suddenly, she smiled at me and this time, her smiled was real.

“thank you Kim Mingyu. Don’t worry about me because I understand it already. I had my chance but sadly, I let it slipped off.” She said.

“Thank you too Minah.” I said with smile.

“no problem. I just hope that you’ll be happy with your decision. I love you too. I really do but let just say I love you just like a friend? Okay. just remember that I’m always support you and always here for you no matter what.” She said with a wide smile.

“well then, may I know who’s that guy with you?” I asked her again.

“I’m her fiancé.” He suddenly pops out from nowhere.

“fiancé?” I’m really shocked what he just said. I look at Minah and she smiled at me.

“I’m sorry for not to tell you guys about this but I don’t want everyone knows about this yet.” She said while wiping her tears.

“I’m Choi Gumyeong.” He introduced himself and stand beside Minah.

“but when did…-“

“3 months already.” She said while bowing at me. okay. that’s was shocked me but I’m okay with it already.

“can I hug him?” Minah asked Gumyeong. He look at me and release a light sigh.

“sure. Besides, he’s your childhood friend, right?” he said. Minah walk to me then hugged me then hugs her back.

“please don’t hurt Hyejin or else I’ll hunt you down and break all your bones.” She whispers at me that makes me goosebumb. She still has that scary aura.

“I can’t promise anything but I’ll try my best.” I said then let her go. She walks back to Gumyeong and smile to him.

And with that I went to Hyejin’s house.
