We had a hectic day, everybody flooded in. We made more than seven thousand dollars an hour! Hundreds of people and monsters were waiting in huge lines outside our doors.
I never really got a chance to speak to Red due to the fact I didn't take lunch. At around eleven at night, it was absolutely silent.
I had pulled a small bar stool out to sit on while taking cash and orders.
I sat my pounding skull down on the bar, and closed my eyes.
"Classic, I'm leaving." I heard Red say quietly, "why don't you head home."
"My shift ends at midnight." I mutter bluntly. "hey... Uh howzabout I take your shift?" he offered, pulling another bar stool to sit next to me.
He placed two pill like objects in my hand. "Advil" he answered my unspoken question. "thank you but you have school tomorrow. Today is holiday, for you guys but not tomorrow." "Come on! Your in pain, let me finish your shift! " he pushed Me.
Raising my head from in between my crossed arms I growweled"Fine."
