Intro
What is intro to computers? Intro to computers is a class that can help you accomplish your goal to be a PC technician because the class tells you how to treat a customer when working with one. It also teach you how to treat an angry customer, deaf customer, and a customer that have trouble speaking english or the language you speak. It's also an easy grade if you pay attention and take the time to listen.
My days in Intro to computers
The first day I started intro to computers Mrs. Jordan told the class her expectations and Dos and Don'ts. I was going to change my schedule because the class seemed hard. As the class went on it got easier because I actually started listening because I'm determined to get 100%. As the year went on the class has gotten much more fun and easier. I always wanted to know how a computer works and what it looks like on the inside of the computer. Now I know how a computer work and what it looks like on the inside and also how to take it apart and put it back together since I have gotten this class. Having this class is a good way to start your career as a PC technician. In this class we talked about the computer parts such as the system unit, motherboard, daughterboard,hard drive, floppy disk drive, CD-Rom drive, IDE cables, berg cables, Flash drive, RAM, ROM, expansion slots, video card, power supply, and sound card. All of these components allow your computer to function.
What you Need to Know when Working on the Computer and with a Customer
When working on a computer you need to know not to open a power supply or monitor because it contains 20,000 to 50,000 volts of electrical power. When working on other people computers you should always use protection such as anti-static wrist strap, work mat or you can rub your hands on the chasis. When you are working with an irate customer you should let them be angry and tell them what you would do to try and help them. You should always treat a customer with respect. Also when working with a customer you should avoid technical terms and acronyms.
The little Ront that could!
The little ront goes by the name of Billy Jones. As a little boy little billy wanted to be a PC technician like his father. When little billy was 6 he started going with his father to work, because it was bring your child to work day. At the age of 10 little billy's dad started teaching him how to work on computers. At the age of 13 the little ront's parents wasn't home and the power in the computer went out and he went and got a screw driver. The little ront went and opened the power supply and went inside the capacitor................. and when his parent got home they saw their little boy in the living room....................... DEAD. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The little Ront Funeral
At the little ront funeral everyone was in mourning what the doctors didnt know was that the little ront wasn't dead he was just in a coma. The little ront popped up out of the casket and everyone ran. The little ront said "where am I" and the little ront's father and mother said " Son you are at your funeral" and the little ront said " But I'm not dead " . The family took him out the casket and took him to the same doctor and the doctor said " Mr and Mrs Jones " Your son is clearly alive, he is a lucky child ".
When the little ront Came Home
When the little ront came home his father told him some important stuff about the computer which would've been good if he told him all that before all the other stuff happened and the boy was almost killed. The father didn't punish the little ront because it was his fault the little boy didn't know he wasn't suppose to open up a power supply. In place of that, since the family was rich, they bout the little boy the game system, the computer, the bike, and the car he wanted when he got his liscence.
What Billy Should Have Did.
The little ront should have waited until his father was back home because his father knew much more about computers. Little Billy shouldn't have opened the power supply because it holds too much voltage, but as little Billy got older the more wiser he was and the more he knew about computers. At the age of Billy started college majoring to be a computer technician/teacher. The reason he wanted to be a computer teacher was so that other children wouldn't make the same mistake he did when he was younger. Billy finished college and he started his own PC technician business called Billy's Repair Technician Shop. Billy's motto was DO NOT OPEN POWER SUPPLY!!!! CALL US WE CAN DO IT
