Scoring the Final Rose

Chapter 3

"So what are your plans for the next few weeks?" Mom asks me as I pour a cup of coffee in the kitchen. 

My mom is sitting at the island counter looking at the paper. Hannah and Levi went back their house about a half hour ago and Dad is in his office upstairs. 

"Nothing for awhile. I know Kelley will end up dragging me to the trainer soon"

"Good you need some down time. You've been running all over the place since March" She tells me with a smile.

"Is Dad okay with everything?" I ask since I know he was against me going on the show in the beginning. 

"He will be. He liked Sean when we met him but you know him, he's protective over you girls. He wants the best for you"

"Do you like him?"

"Yes" She says, her smile returning to her face. "He was an excellent gentleman and I can't wait for him to be part of our family"

"Good I'm glad"

"Are you still playing in Kansas City?" 

"I have no clue."

"Maybe you should call Mark about that"

"Mom I've been home for like 2 hours" I answer with a smile and a shake of my head. 

"I'm joking but you need to call him tomorrow"

"I know" I respond as my phone rings with a FaceTime call from Sean. 

"Go upstairs and talk to him." She tells me with a smile. 

"Hey" I say answering the call. 

"Love you mom" I say to my mom and give her a kiss and then walk out of the kitchen. "Sorry about that"

"It's okay Babe" Sean responds with a smile. "Happy to be home?"

"Yeah. But I miss you" I answer as I walk into my room, closing the door behind me. 

I set my coffee cup on the bedside table and walk over to my desk and grab my MacBook off of it. 

"Wait lemme call you from my Mac okay?" 

"See you soon" Sean responds and then hangs up. 

I sit down on my bed, rest my Mac on my lap and turn it on. Once it's loaded I open FaceTime and call Sean.

"I miss you" I say as soon as he answers the call. 

"I miss you too" He responds. "How's your family?"

"Really good. I really missed them. Hannah was so excited to see me"

"AwI'm glad" 

"What time did you get home?" I ask as I slip my coffee. 

It's around 10 here so it's 8 in Dallas.

"Like 15 minutes ago. I wanted to talk to you before you went to bed"

"You're so cute" I reply as my phone rings with a phone call. I roll my eyes and Sean laughs as I flip over my phone to see who's calling me. 

Lauren Cheney.

"It's Lauren" I state. "Don't hang up okay?"

"Okay, I'll be quiet"

"Hello?" I answer as I smile at Sean. 

"It's so good to hear your voice. I missed you so much" Lauren says. 

"I missed you too Chen"

"So how was it? You lasted a long time? Is filming over? Did you win?" Lauren asks and since I had Sean mute himself, I can see him laughing which means Cheney is talking really loud.
