Karl woke early the next morning. Before he opened his eyes he could feel strong arms around him. His eyes opened to those piecing blue ones of his lover. They looked at each.
"Good morning," Vladimir whispered.
"Can I call you my boyfriend now?"
"Well, seeing as we aren't married yet, that seems a good plan."
"We had one date. Why would we already be married?"
They sat up.
They dressed.
"We better head to work."
"Yep."
"I'll see you later."

That night Karl came home to the smell of baking. He dropped his bag and wandered into the kitchen. Vladimir smiled at him.
"You made me dinner first.""Thad I did. What are you cooking?"
"Pizza. I love pizza. Have I told you that?"
"No."
"I'll teach you next time."
Karl laughed and softly kissed Vladimir. A timer went off and they broke apart. Vladimir took the steaming pizza out of the oven.
The nights with Vladimir were amazing and the days long without him. Karl began to realize their relationship was escalating.
One night as they were lying in each others' arms Karl spoke softly to Vladimir.
"Will you move in with me?"
"Umm, we do live together."
"I know. I just feel like our relationship has gotten to that point. It's not about sex, it's more than that."
"So do I."
"So I'm asking you to move in with me." Karl laughed. "You're not amused."
Vladimir hesitated. He looked like he had realized something, but he was sad. He smiled with sad eyes at karl and whispered. "I love you."
"I've been waiting for you to say that."
They just held each other through the night.
