"W-what?" Jack asked, his face looking pink and flustered.

"N-nothing, sorry. I shouldn't have said anything, it was just kind of a stupid dare from Felix. Just ignore what I said....please?" I said hurriedly. "Please just forget I said anything. I really don't want it to be awkward between us."

"Okay." Jack said, looking down before chuckling and smiling up at me. God his smile is so pretty. "No worries man, all is forgotten."

"Thanks." I muttered. "Now, about hitting me in the face..." I said with an impish smile slowly forming on my face. Jack's eyes widened until I brought my two pillows down on his curled up body as hard as I could. You could hear the slap of the pillowcase fabric against skin. I even winced at how painful it sounded.

"Aagghh!! You damn asshole!" Jack yelled, laughing as he threw the pillows off of him. "That hurt like hell!"

"That's what you get!" I laughed. I fell on my bed watching as Jack grumbled something incoherent and took out his phone.

"Crap!" He said. "How is it eleven thirty already? I have to get home."

"Yeah, I'm not so sure that going to be happening." I told him, skeptically.

"Why not?" He glanced at me curiously. I walked over to my window, pulling my curtain back for him to see. He strained his neck from his sitting position on the floor to see outside. "Holy crap!" He exclaimed, jumping up and rushing to the window.

"Yeah. Now you see." I chuckled. In the dim yellow glow of the street light, you could see snow piled up maybe about three feet. It would probably be almost up to my waist considering I was short. "Yeah, there's no way anyone can walk or drive in that, especially considering it's like five degrees outside."

"So what am I supposed to do?" Jack questioned.

"Well, you really don't have any other choice but to stay here overnight." I told him.

"I can't, I've burdened you and your mom so much already. I-I'll find a way to walk-" He stuttered.

"No you won't! You're staying here, whether you like it or not." I interrupted him. Then in a gentler tone I said, "And don't say you're a burden to us. My mom loves you and you're super fun to hang around. Its actually been so much fun to have you stay here."

Jack sighed, looking down. "Alright, if you say so. Thanks. Again." He chuckled.

"Don't worry about it man. Anyway I know my mom won't mind, but maybe you should call yours just to let her know."

"Oh..yeah." Jack said, pulling out his phone. "That'd probably be a good idea." He laughed.

I watched as he swiped and tapped at his screen for a few moments, the light from his phone illuminating his face in the dim light of my room, before holding the phone up to his ear. "I've already missed five calls from her." Jack whispered to me as he waited for his mother to answer.

I simply nodded, pulling out my own smartphone and unlocking it. I swiped back and forth on the screen, staring at it intently and pretending I wasn't listening to every detail of Jack's conversation. Although his phone wasn't on speaker, it seemed to be on full volume so I had no trouble hearing the words "Hello? Seán? Is that you?" coming from his phone within a few rings. Seán? What was with the name Seán?
