Author's note;
I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while... I'm going to load three chapters today. Thanks for reading!!!!The sun was shining bright but my emotions were not. It took me a second to realize what today was. As I scurried to change into the formalist clothes I might have I was interrupted by my mother.
"Dear, the seamstress would like to measure you up."
I went to the kitchen were a tall and delicate lady looked around trying not to show to much disgust but failed to do so. Her dress was a delicate pink with different shades spread around it.
She measured my waist my arms length and everything that a seamstress needed to make a gods-dammed dress.
When she was done she left in a hurry so as not catch an infection. I might have laughed if it weren't for my parents worried looks.
"It's going to be fine. I'm not going to be chosen anyway. The prince doesn't like peasants, and I don't like spoiled brats so we won't work. They're giving you checks so my job is to stay as long as possible so you can find a better dump to die in."
My dad finally cracked a smile.
"I'd rather die in a dump with your mom, than in a mansion by myself."
"Fine, if you don't want to use it for that, then use it for something else. I don't care."
My mother's eyes were glistening. I wiped away her tears and gave her a smile.
Not a minute later, they appeared to take me.
I gave them one last hug before I left.
When I was neared the door I looked back, and saw a sobbing mom crying for her only child. And a father comforting her wife.
