Chris's POV
Within a few days, we got through all the legal stuff and Winter could come home. After all these years I could never find my daughter, it's unreal how amazing it is to have her here. You never realize how much you've missed until you have to play catch-up. Hearing everything she's been through, it upsets me that I couldn't be there for her through all those years."Dad?" Winter said interuptting me from my thoughts.
"Yeah honey?"I answer looking up at her.
She opened her mouth to say something before closing it and running into my arms. She began sobbing instantly.
"Baby girl what's wrong?" I asked embracing her tightly and gently stroking her hair.
"This is so unreal, I'm scared that I'm going to wake up and this was all just a dream." She cried into my chest.
"Baby girl it's not, and I still can't believe it either." I said giving her a kiss on the top of the head.
"Hey," I said pulling her so I could look her in the eye, "I know what can cheer you up." I said wiping tears off her face.
"And what is that?" She asked wiping some tears away herself.
"Do you want to go to the mall and then go get ice cream?"
She smiled lightly and then nodded.
"Okay baby girl do what you need to do then we can go," I said giving her a smile.
She turned and went to her room, and I went to go grab my jacket, boots, and keys. After about 10 minutes she came back out wearing a Black Veil Brides shirt, ripped black jeans, a black beanie, black converse, and she had fixed her makeup.
"You ready princess?" I ask.
She smiled and nodded.
Winter's POV
After I had changed and fixed my makeup, we went to the mall. It only took about 10 minutes before we were pulling in the parking lot.
"Where to first?" Dad asked.
"Really?" I asked laughing.
"Hottopic?" He asked
"Yup" I said getting out of the car.
Dad texted a few people quickly before getting out of the car. I was jumping around like a two year old, but it didn't matter. I was going to get to spend time with my dad.
-a few hours later-
"You ready for ice cream?" Dad asked.
We had gone to a bunch of stores after hottopic, but dad refused to go into Victoria Secrect so he gave me money and I went in. I had gotten a lot of weird looks but, oh well. I've gotten used to it.
We walk back out to the car and put everything in the back seat. We pull out and head toward my favorite ice cream parlor. I look out the window and watch everything go by.
After a few minute we pull into the parking lot and go into the parlor, getting in line to order. After a few minutes, some fimilar faces walk in and wave to my dad.
"Hey Winter," Ricky says waking up to me.
"Hi," I say smiling like an idiot.
He returns the smile and everyone else walks over. Ghost and Angelo bro hug my dad and Ryan says hi to me.
After 5ish more minutes, we all have our ice cream are sitting at a booth. I never stopped smiling the entire time.
"You're super smiley today." Dad says smiling and wiping some ice cream off my chin.
"Yeah" I say looking down and smiling even bigger.
"Any reason?" Ghost asks
I look up at all of them. "Because I finally belong somewhere."
