Winter's POV
I see her again. My mother. She is laying of the ground of her and Aaron's bedroom.
"Mommy?" I call out.
Walking up to her, she looks asleep.
"Mommy," I call out again, shaking her to try and wake her.
"Mommy!" I call out desperately trying to wake her, she still doesn't respond.
I lay there crying, waiting for her to wake.
Chris' POV
I wake to the sounds of Winter's screams. I rush to her room and shake her lightly.
"Winter, Winter wake up honey," I whisper.
She snaps awake, looks at me and starts crying. I pull her close and hug her tight.
"What's wrong?" I ask, pained to see my baby girl like this.
"I-I I had my nightmare again" She sobs.
"What nightmare baby girl?" I ask, concerned for my daughter
"The night I found mom dead," she mumbles into my chest.
I stroke her hair and kiss the top of her head, trying to comfort her.
"Can I sleep in your room with you?" She asks quietly.
"Of course baby girl," I say picking her up.
I carry through the hall and to my room. Setting her down carefully I notice she is already asleep.
"I love you baby girl," I whisper in her ear before going back to bed myself.
The next day
"Hey Winter!" I call up to her, she has been up there a while, but I don't know what she is doing.
"Yeah?" She tells back down almost immediately.
"Can you come down here? There is something I need to tell you."
She groans but comes down quickly.
"Yeah?" She says walking from the staircase into the kitchen.
I wave her over and she sits down across from me.
"I have a question/surprise for you." I say smiling.
"And that is....?" She says confused.
"Would you want to go on tour with Motionless In White?" I ask.
Her face lit up immediately and she let out a joyful scream.
"Is that a yes?" I ask laughing.
"YES OMIGOSH HELL YES!" She screamed running around in circles, the biggest smile on her face.
"Language young lady." I say joking.
"Oh, sorry," she said her face becoming red.
"I'm joking," I say lightly punching her arm.
Winter flinched and covered her head. It was then that a huge realization hit me.
"Who was it?" I asked, venom seeping into my voice. Someone hurt my daughter and their sorry ass was going to pay for it.
"Some of the girls at the orphanage." She said tears starting to well up in her eyes.
I bite back so many words that I wanted to say to those girls. I pull her close "You'll be safe here, I won't ever hurt you." I say to her.
Eventually her tears stopped and she pulled back wiping away tears. "They did it because I'm different." She stated, implying the girls at the orphanage.
I gently grab her chin so she will look at me, "You are different Winter, but that's why I love you. You aren't like most people, you are kinder. Even through that situation, you were strong, and you learned to survived." I say gently.
She smiled slightly and said "When do we leave?"
