It was about three in the afternoon on a clod winter day in Grimbsy square when the small shopping district shook for no obvious reason. "No, no NO." Mint said frustrated. No matter how hard she tried, her levitating spell wouldn't work on anything heavier than a book. "Let's try again." She said to herself. She lifted up the weights, only for them to fall after breaking 1 foot off the ground. Another rumble was heard throughout the square. "For the love of apples, what are you practicing for?" Sage asked, looking up from her Flowers Monthly magazine. "If I can't levitate 20 pounds, there's no way I could make a potion. I'm gonna fail." Sage closed her magazine. "Mint, babe. I'm sure lifting dumbels has nothing to do with your poison potion." Mint sighed and stopped casting. "It does! I need to be able to hex, make poison and levitate by the end of this month!" Sage looked at her, the light drained from her eyes. "Mint, its the 26th. If this was that important and difficult, you should've started at the beginning of the month instead of procrastinating." Mint gave an embarrassed smile. "I know, but your flower parade- thingy looked much more interesting!" Sage nodded. "Yes, but its my job. You're still in training." Mint squinted her eyes. "Good point. But still! I need help." Sage put her hat back on. "With...?" She asked. "Let me try to levitate you!" Sage looked down at her. "Fine. Just try not to drop me. I'll kick you out of the greenhouse." "No! The greenhouse helps me focus!" Sage laughed. "Hurry up, I'm getting heavier by the second." Mint laughed and tried her spell again. "Supernatet." "Ooh, Latin! I like that." She grew flustered as she began to float. Mint was concentrated on her subject. "Superiores." She said as Sage broke 2 feet off the ground. She wobbled a bit but still went up. "Etiam." Sage stayed in place, five feet off the ground. Sage gasped and looked around the greenhouse. "Descendit." Mint's voice was calm and collected as Sage softly descended downwards. She landed on her feet as Mint snapped out of her daze. "You did it! " Sage screamed and hugged Mint tightly. "Guess I did..." Her voice wavered. She was on the verge of crying tears of joy. "So if you could do that with a 90 pound woman, you can do it with anything else." Sage smiled as she went to sit back down. "Thanks Sage." "No problem babe." She winked and went back to reading, as Mint went back to practicing.
