one: the new girl

kylie walked through the doors of her new school. she was excited. she knew she was going to love living like a human. she had always watched them while growing up and she always wondered how it would be and feel to be like a human and to be around them.

"who is she?"

"i would totally tap that."

"is she new?"

"i've never seen her before."

"she's hot."

she heard the murmurs of the people with her superhearing while walking to her new locker. she reached a locker while looking down at the little paper the principle had given her, to be sure it was her locker. she looked down at the tiny piece of paper that had the number 308 scribbled on it, she looked up at the locker and saw the same number engraved on it. she opened the lock and put the books she didn't need inside while keeping the ones she needed.

she heard the bell ring and excitedly started walking to her first class. science. she walked in and took a look at everyone and everything, analyzing it.

she walked up to a pair of girls and greeted them.

"hi, my name is kylie. i'm new here, i was wondering if we could be friends." she said. the girls were quick to start laughing and kylie was confused. did she do something wrong? did she have something on her face?

kylie took a seat in the back and felt embarrassed. she didn't know why the girls were laughing at her but kylie's embarrassment soon turned into anger and when kylie was angry, she couldn't control her powers. hell, she couldn't control her powers when she was feeling any emotion strongly but she was working on it because she didn't want to hurt anybody again.

soon an object fell on one of the girls that a few minutes ago laughed at her. when kylie realized what she had she done, she quickly gasped and felt the need to run to the girl and apologize but it would seem weird so she "kept her cool" and remained seated. the teacher soon arrived and began her class.

it was lunchtime and kylie was relieved because she could finally spend some time alone. she felt uncomfortable being new because everyone kept staring at her.

when she bought her lunch, she quickly sat on a table were no one was sitting. she began eating her lunch peacefully and quietly, how she liked it, before being startled by someone.

"hey." the person said while sitting down next to her. kylie jumped because of the person that had just scared her. she turned side ways and looked at the person. it was a boy. he had a welcoming smile on his face, his pearly white teeth showing.

"sorry, i didn't mean to scare you. my name is jack by the way. i noticed that you were lonely and i wanted to see if you wanted to sit with me and my friends." the boy said and kylie smiled back.

"yeah sure." she said while getting up at the same time as the boy.

she followed jack to the table where his friends were sitting. they were all boys. they were throwing food at each other, talking in a very inappropriate language, and they were hitting each other before jack cleared his throat and the boys all stopped and stared at jack and kylie.

"so guys this is..." jack paused, waiting for kylie to introduce herself.

"oh, kylie." she said while waving her tiny hand in the air.

"well kylie it's nice to meet you. my name is jack." a blonde haired boy said.

"so, you're both named jack?" she asked.
