three: the kiss and the other fight

jack leaned in until his lips touched kylie's and gave her a sweet and tender kiss. her first kiss. kylie felt sparks and fireworks. she felt a damn explosion while the butterflies in her stomach also took over. chills ran up and down her spine as she felt jack's tongue slip into her mouth. after a little bit they pulled away and they both looked into each other's eyes.

"i've been wanting to do that since i first saw you." he said, putting a piece of hair behind her ear, making kylie blush.

"yeah, me too." she responds shyly while looking down.

"kylie, do you like me? i could tell you were kind of uncomfortable." jack asks kylie while placing his finger under her chin and raising her head so that he could see her face.

"umm.." kylie said nervously. she didn't know what to say and jack was clearly bad at recognizing emotions because kylie wasn't uncomfortable at all.

"i have to go." she said while getting out of the pool and trying to run inside but jack quickly got out as well and grabbed her by the waist pulling her back.

"look, if you don't like me, it's ok. it's ok but just answer me please." jack said with pleading eyes.

"um... i do like you jack." kylie answers while putting a strand of hair behind her ear and looking down. jack sighed, he thought she didn't like him and he was nervous.

"then, will you go out on a date with me?" jack asked with hopeful eyes.

"i'm sorry jack but i can't." kylie said while looking at him and lowering her head again.

"but why? you said you liked me." he said, wanting an explanation.

"i do like you but i can't go out with you."

"but why? do you have a boyfriend or are you going out with someone else?" jack asked.

"jack, i just can't. i can't tell you why. now, please stop asking so many things." kylie responded, uncomfortable with all of jack's questions.

"yeah, ok. i'll just leave." he said while grabbing his things, angry because kylie didn't have an explanation as to why she couldn't go out with him.

"you can't leave. you came with me, in my car." she said.

"i'll call a cab." jack said without looking back and continuing to walk to the door.

"it's too far. cabs don't come here." jack suddenly stopped.

"then i'll walk." he said and continued walking.

"jack, please this is ridiculous." kylie said. jack didn't stop or looked back, he just kept walking.

"i'll take you to your house." she said as she began walking after him.

"no." he responded simply.

"i said i'll walk." he sounded really angry but kylie didn't stop, she just kept walking like jack. they reached the door and jack saw that kylie was still walking behind him.

"i said i'll walk!" he shouted. kylie's eyes began to water, no one had ever screamed at her that way.

"ok, i'm sorry." she said while stopping.

"i'll let you walk. i was just trying to help." she said while walking past him and heading upstairs to her room.

jack sighed, he was frustrated. it wasn't his intention to scream at her like that but he was mad because she wouldn't tell him why she couldn't go out with him.

the next day

kylie walked through the school halls again, clutching onto her books. she was nervous to see jack because of the way he screamed at her the day before. she saw all the boys talking against the lockers but she also saw a girl. kylie recognized the girl, it was the one that laughed at her when she introduced herself. once jack saw kylie, he quickly grabbed the girl by the waist and pulled her close while attaching their lips and giving her a sloppy kiss. nothing like the one that he gave her because that kiss was with emotion and it was between two people that liked each other, unlike jack and this girl.
