Dad? DAd? DAD? I wake up from a horrible nightmare and get ready for school. I hear screaming from downstairs and run down as fast as I can
When I get down I see my mom with a hammer destroying a pile of framed photos of our family. I guess she hears me and turns around. I see her tear stained face. "Oh good morning John I just thought I might clean up a little before you go to work." I just look at her. The watcher has never gone this far before.
"Mom..." I start. "You need to relax." For once I don't know what to do. I don't even know what to say.
"Your right I should just wait until Jacob comes home from school! He can help me then." I nod and help her over to the couch. Once she touches it she instantly falls asleep.
I take this as my chance to leave. I hope she doesn't wake up until I come home. I don't want her destroying the house.
I walk into my first period class. Not hearing the high pitched voice I normally do. I turn around and see Kayla ignoring me. She's talking to some person next to her. The watcher probably asked her to stop because they knew I didn't care.
Honestly I am kind of sad Kayla stoped trying. She almost seemed like the last person trying. Now I am alone. Now I really have no one. No one but myself and the watcher. This must be how the watcher wanted it.
The day flies by fast and the next thing I know I am at my waiter job. My boss yells my name. I walk over to her.
"Look. Your a good kid but we gotta let you go." She says handing me my last paycheck. I just nod. To numb to even feel the pain. "Thank you." I state. I leave the restaurant and head home to my insane mother.
