Imagine you were 15 years old. The apocalypse had only started two months ago so you were still new to the idea of 'walkers'. Luckily, your dad was there to help you every step of the way. One day he had left the house to scavenge for food. Your job was to keep the walkers out, and you did for an hour. As you peeked out the window you caught sight of a figure sitting on the lawn. Grabbing your shovel you cautiously walked towards the beast. Something was off about this one. It was indeed pale, but the skin was intact and no groans escaped its lips. In curiosity you walked upon it, but freaked once it caught sight of you causing you to immediately swing. Once it was on its back it started mumbling words that you couldn't understand, but you were certain of one thing. It was alive.
