Chapter 3

Adam's *POV*

I sat in my room just listening to music thinking about the events from earlier today, mostly about Snowflake, such an odd name but it's cute.

This morning she was getting knocked around by some girl named Stacy.

I walked over to her and helped her out of the snowbank, then I realized it was the girl who tried to jump over the bridge.

I looked into her bright purple eyes, and held my hand out to pull her up, when we touched hands it was like electricity. Oh and one more thing I'm pretty sure she's my Mate.

In every class I saw her in she would be crouched up in a little ball crying, I wanted to say something but I couldn't, I didn't know what to say. It really hurts me to see my Mate upset.

"Hey dumbass get down here now" I heard my dad say. I hurried down scared he would beat me if I wasn't fast enough.

"Were going over to are neighbors Aka my good friend Jack so go make yourself useful and not look like the little piece of shit you are" he yelled out, I ran upstairs to the shower to get ready.

He's always hated me,he says it's my fault are mother's dead. He loves Christine my twin sister though. He treats her like royalty, she knows what he does though.

I got a towel and walked into the bathroom ,I stared at myself in the mirror, look how fat I am a whole 108 pounds. The doctor says that I dont way enough for my age and height, he says I'm about 40 pounds underweight but I don't care.

I also have these ugly scars all over my arms from self harming in my past. I have managed to stop but I still have urges to do it. There's always the chance of a relapse.

Once I got out of the shower I got dressed into some black skinnys, a white long sleeve shirt and white converse.

I straightened my hair, and put on a little bit of eyeliner.

"Adam hurry up" I heard my dad yell, "Coming" I yelled back.

We walked over to the house since it was only 2 Doors down.
We walked up to the door and I smell a familiar smell of a Strawberry Vanilla smell, the smell of Snowflake.

This is were Snowflake lives. My inner wolf is flipping out RightNow I'm so excited to see my Mate. It's a little odd though because werewolves rarely mate to humans.

"Um hi" she said quietly with her angelic voice.
Calm down Adam don't go crazy, I had to keep telling my wolf side.

We walked into the kitchen , my dad started to talk to Jack.
Christine and Snowflake were talking. I got 5th weeled.

"Um hey Snowflake" I said rubbing the back of my neck walking up to her.

"You can just call me Snow" she said.

"Oh um Okay Snow" I replied.

"Everyone come sit" Jack said.

I took one of the chairs by snow.
I telophathicaly communicated with Christine the whole night.
Telling her that she was my mate and stuff like that.

Snow didn't eat much at all but neither did I.

We all finished eating and went to the movie theaters to further celebrate Snows birthday.

Her and Christine tried and laughed a lot, I'm glad to see the two so happy.

We ordered tickets to a scary movie, and I sat down by snow.
Everyone she would jump I would put my hand on her shoulder reasuring things are okay.

She got up probably to go to the bathroom. I have to follow her and make sure she stays safe.

I followed her with out her noticing.

"Ha ha ha hey nice" some man called out slapping my mates ass.
Big mistake.

When he came around the corner I picked him up by his collar staring at the fear in his eyes.

"Don't ever ever touch my mate like that again" I growled out through clenched teeth.
I threw him on the floor and kicked him in the stomach. He got up and ran away.

I saw Snow cone back out so I hurried back to my seat.
Her face was upset when she came back up probably due to the fact she was just sexually harassed.

"Hi" I greeted her.
"Hey"she whispered out.

When the movie was over we all got back all into the car and headed home.

Everyone said there goodbyes.

(Latter that night)

I looked at the clock 1:36 am
Still can't sleep I tossed and turned the whole night. I decided to just go for a run.

When I got out side I shifted into a wolf listening to the familiar cracking and rearanging of my bones.

I ran for about half a mile when I smelled a familiar smell.
"Snow"I mumbled out.

I sniffed her tracks being sure to stay hidden from her.
I found her walking into a strange neighborhood a old ratty rough neighborhood, what is she doing in this dump.

She met up with a strange man,I didn't like the way he looked at her.

I growled loudly and howled.
They both jumped a little and looked my way I hurried and stepped to the side.

I peeked my head around the corner and watched, she handed him some cash, then he hand her a bag of what smells like regular marijuana. Wow my mate smokes weed.
Well I don't care I love my mate and that's all that matters.

I followed her the rest of the way home.

I hear some hissing uh oh.
I look over and there's a huge panther heading towards her growling and getting ready to attack.

I howled and jumped onto the Panthers back, biting its neck trying to take it down.

Snow screamed, but then stared into my eyes, she made a weird face then sprinted away.

The panther managed to escape but ran into the other direction.
I shifted back into human form and chased after her.

She started to walk again so it was easier to catch up to her.

"Um hey" I say startling her.

Snows *POV*

" Oh my gosh um hey Adam" I say
"What are you doing up at this time?" I ask.

"Um I couldn't sleep" he replied awkwardly.

"Well you won't believe what just happened to me, I was just walking and a panther tried to attack me, the a Huge Jet-black wolf jumped onto it as if the wolf was saving me or something." I babbled on to him.

"Wow some night, well mind if I walk with you the rest of the way home." He asked. "Yah it's fine" I replied.

Are hands would occasionally touch and I would feel sparks each time. We stopped at my drive way and he walked me up to my door.

"Well it was nice talking to you" I said pulling him into a hug.
"Yah, well um I guess I will see you at school tomarow" he said then began walking off but not before flashing a smile my way.
I felt butterfly's in my stomach and leaned against the door smiling like a fool. Hes so cute and and no no snow don't think like that you must not like this boy.  I watched him walk away and once he was out of my line of vision then walked into my home and tailed off to bed.
