My (personal) opinion! Feel free to add in anything you like!
okay so firstly
This is only coloring wise of what you shouldn't do:
-please don't use airbrush from blush
-blush does not go around the whole face (blend it in!)
-Not everyone is pale with yellow tones! Please use realistic tones!
-no one has just one color flatly in their skin, use different shades of brown, orange and red to achieve a more realistic turn!
-neon colors/bright unshaded colors are a huge no no! Neon colors are never okay and make your drawing look weird and not focused. Do not use bright colors on things unless you want to draw the lookers attention to that object--then use brighter tones to gather the attention to that one detail.
(Let me guess when you saw the drawing on the right your eyes instantly went to the red shirt and the bright yellow buttons huh?)
-never use just black on photos. Lighten up the black a little so you can shade that black later on with a darker black. Just a helpful hint that I'm glad to of found!
-Everyone has their own ways of shading! Don't use black for shading: this is well known but over looked. Only use black if you're going over a black object (like the hair). Everything else should be shaded with lighter and darker tones of its original color-or you can use just a dark/lightish purple color to shade everything.{Don't forget to vote if you like what you see and comment if you would like to share your views!
