I stood there listening to the person on the other end. My heart was beating so fast, I couldn't even breathe Aaron looked over at me.

"Who is it?" He asked.

I didn't answer. I kept listening to the voice on the other end. My breathing started to quicken and I could hear my heartbeat in my ears.

Just then a car pulled up in the driveway.

Chase I thought.

He was done university and he decided to leave a couple of days early. Probably since mom and dad weren't home, and we hadn't heard from them.

I could feel the tears well up in my eyes and spill onto my cheeks. At that exact moment the front door had opened.

And I fell to my knees my legs had given up, and I couldn't find the strength to hold myself up anymore. The words I was hearing on the other end of the line were tearing me apart...piece by piece.

Aaron ran over to me and Chase screamed my name. In a blink of an eye they were both next to me with worried looks on their faces. They really wanted to know what was going on.

I hung up the phone and looked at them. That didn't help, looking at them only made it worse. It caused my heart to ache even more and I burst into tears.

"Leigh? What's wrong what happened?"

It was Aaron I could hear the distress and fear in his voice, but I still couldn't find it in me to answer him.

"Who was it on the phone? PLEASE! Don't do this to us! You know how much it hurts us when we see you cry. Come on what's wrong tell us"

This was Chase and he was right. When I was a little girl and I scraped my knee or something and started crying both boys would come. It didn't matter where they were or what they were doing. They would always run over to me and would be by my side in a second. Hugging me, making funny faces, trying everything to get me to stop crying, they would do anything just to see that smile on my face.

I could tell they were freaking out now. They were shaking me gently and their tones were more rushed. I sighed and controlled myself and looked up at them.

"They found it..." I whispered

"Found what?" Aaron asked

I could feel the tears well up in my eyes again I had to tell them before I broke down again.

"They found mom and dad's car in the..."

When I said it out loud I started to think back to the voice on the phone. It brought back memories. Terrible memories.

It reminded me of everything that happened in my life and it reminded me of him. But I couldn't think about that. Not now so I pushed all my thoughts to the back of my head and continued. I was about to lose it and I could tell.

"The car was in the forest and it was in a ditch there was blood everywhere..."

I can't do this I thought I couldn't finish not after being reminded of it all... all the things I finally thought I was over. All the hate, the anger, the love...

It was all coming back just because of that one phone call...

Aaron looked at me and pulled me into a hug.
