Riley's POV
I drummed my fingers on the arm of the blue plane chair. This was the first independent minor trip I had ever taken and I was extremely nervous. Then only thing that calmed me down was that my parents had let Rosie come along so that was good. I turned to her and smiled she was the best sister I could ask for. The only thing that could make my life perfect would be for him to come home.
then the intercom came on and rang through the plane. "Welcome to flight 544329875 to New York City.I am Katelyn your pilot. Please turn your attention to your screens for the safety video."
four hours later
as the plane landed I shook Rosie awake. (She had fallen asleep an hour into the flight.) "Rosie the plane's landing."
"What?" She said drowsely.
"We're here we made it to New York." I told her helping her put a book back into her carry-on bag.
she nodded her head and rubbed her eyes.
The plane touched the ground and a flight attendent helped us gather our things and walked us through security and everything so that we could meet George.

George held up a sign with our names on it. "Rosie! Riley! over here!" He said over the crowd.
Rosie and I shared a look and rolled our eyes as he walks over to us.
"Do you have proof that you are George Wakefield, sir?" the flight attendent that had been helping us asked.
He nodded and pulled out his wallet showing his ID.
the lady smiled and said "Sign here and they're all yours." She said a little happily.
George signed the paper and put his hands on our backs and led us to his car. Which turned out to be a black limo with the words 'Gothel Towers' printed on it in white letters.
"Nice car." I chuckle.
he shrugs and grins at the same time. "But seriously I think you guys are going to love it at my apartment building. Especially Riley, there's this boy that you'll connect with." He says smiling.
"George! I don't want a boyfriend! If I did I would have one. This boy,Percy, keeps asking me out." I regret saying that the second it comes out of my lips.
George smirks and I swear I hear him mutter "Not that way Riles." I shake it off I was probably just hearing things.
"I know. You two need to meet him though, I guarentee that he'll be in the lobby for like 5-10 minutes to grab a year's worth of mail around 2:30 P.M." he says.
"Fine. We'll meet him. Why is getting a years worth of mail thoough? is he not allowed to leave his apartment or something?" I ask getting into front seat of the car and Rosie in the back.
"Um."
"You're kidding?" Rosie asks.
"Nope. His dad has a problem with achohaul. He isn't the best father. he has a steady job and everything, he just forgets about Re- him sometimes." He says pulling out of the parking garage.
"Is it illegel?" I ask wishing to help in any way I can, calling the police is only a step.
George shakes his head mournfully. "I checked every law about it. I actually called the police on him when i found out what he was doing. They said that he didn't have anything dangerous in his house so there was nothig they could do. They agreed it isn't the best situation for a minor to be in but there was nothing they could do. Trust me Riley I tried everything." he says.
"That sucks." I say crossing my arms
"Yep it does." was the reply.
the car was silent for the rest of the trip.
