The Moon & the Stars

She was the one who watched as the moon painted her a mellow blue. Mild rain soaked her evening clothes as she closed her eyes and faced the oceanic sky as the stars swam deep within. She knew that there were stars but they all cried lullabies that only a baby could handle but, she was strong. The strong needed those stars who sung amazing melodies that would help them power their way through the night, but she has never felt any of these stars. She has never even seen a glimpse of their piercing light that dazzled against the deep, melodic sky. She needed just one to fall down and touch her hardened heart only to blast away that outer shell concealing a human being. But, she hadn’t experienced anything at such an inspiring rate. At least, not yet. As she stood underneath the shadow clouds, the rain would play notes with every one of their last breaths. The notes rang small orchestras as she stood and slowly out stretched her arms to feel the rhythm of the rain’s heartbeat as they gently grabbed onto her skin and joined together with one another as they flooded their feelings upon her. They all bled out their words as they would slip and scream as they fell to the ground for they couldn’t express everything they wanted her to know. Alas, their hidden strength would shine with the moonlight as they would lay down, crowded together with their motionless ones as their spirits would fly away into the stars.
