I do not own Harry Potter or any of the characters, other than Goldryn and Ebony.

AuthorspeakAlbus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore sat in his office, looking into his Penseive. A memory was playing in the bowl, one that he had seen a million times. He watched a younger version of himself walk into a suburban neighborhood. After extinguishing all of the lights in the houses, he approached Number 4, Privett Drive. The younger Albus left a small bundle of blankets on the doorstep, tucked a letter into the wrappings, and departed.
He knew that the boy was treated badly there, and that was good. All the more reason for the child to see him, the benevolent Headmaster, as a father figure.
Now he just needed to wait until the child turned 11.

It had been a few months since the visit to the animal shelter, and three weeks since Dudley had gotten bored with his pitbulls and returned them. Goldryn and Ebony had already taught Harry a great many things, and he was always eager to learn more
The Dursleys were sitting around the breakfast table when the post arrived. Harry went to the door, and noticed a strange phenomenon. Not just one, but TWO letters addressed to him were among the pile of mail. He slipped them both into the slot in the door of his cupboard before taking the rest into the dining room.
Harry placed the letters on the table, and quickly disappeared into his closet to read his letters. With his familiars looking over his shoulder, they tried to decide which to open first. On both were the words, To: Harry James Potter, Cupboard Under the Stairs, 4 Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey, in swirling green font.
One envelope had a crest that Goldryn immediatly recognised. "Harry! That's the Hogwarts Crest!"
"I'll open the other one first then." Harry decided.
The other envelope was also closed with a wax seal, this one a rendition of a crossed sword and mace on a bag of gold. Harry slit the seal and pulled out the letter.
He began to read aloud to his familiars. "Dear Mr. Potter. Seeing as you will be eleven soon, you have reached the age for the wizarding world to officially acknowledge your status as the heir to multiple prestigious pureblood and creature houses. Please come to Gringotts in Diagon Alley so that we might provide you with access to your banks and remove any magical blocks placed on you to hide your lordship. Thank you for your consideration, Manager Blackbeak of Gringotts.
"Should I go?" Harry asked.
"Of course, kit!" Exclaimed Ebony, "You'll be able to access your Dasliu powers, as well as access your properties and-" he winked, "Your rather expansive wealth."
"That's cool and all, Ebony but didn't the palace burn? And all of my parents' money along with it?"
"No to both questions, master. The palace disappeared into the Diamond Lake when the last Dasliu of age died, and while your mother's money is in the palace, your father never stopped storing his money in Gringotts, and the goblin said in the letter that you are the heir to multiple houses, not just one. Since your mother's house is a house of magical creatures, you have more than one account at the bank. I wonder what your other Lordships are."
"No time like the present, right?" Asked Harry, bouncing a little at the idea of escaping the house for a little.
"If you wish to leave now, Harry, we can." Decided Ebony.
"Ebony, is that really such a good idea? The muggles..." Goldryn was the more cautious of Harry's two familiars. Harry supposed that made the cat and the snake such a good team- Ebony would jump off the edge of a cliff if Goldryn didn't talk him out of it, and Goldryn would remain curled up in a ball to avoid the world without Ebony. It was a mutually benefitial relationship, and Harry was glad that they were there for him.
It was quickly made apparent what they should do when a POP sounded, and a small man, no, goblin, appeared in Harry's cupboard.
Harry thanked the stars that his familiars had been teaching him the goblin language, as well as proper goblin manners.
¤Hello¤ said Harry, bowing his head, ¤Have you come from the bank?¤
The goblin looked surprised, and his lips twisted into a small smile. ¤Yes, young Potter. I am Hardtack, one of the Gringotts clerks. Most wizards don't ever bother to learn our language, it shall be intriguing to see what sort of ruler you turn out to be.¤
I'm sorry about the name Hardtack. It's an inside joke.
¤RULER?!?!¤ Harry exclaimed. ¤I'm ten!¤
Hardtack inclined his head in acknowledgement. ¤I am well aware of that, young Potter, but you must remember that once you come of age, you will be crowned king of the Dasliu.¤
Suddenly Goldryn spoke in Harry's ear. "I believe the Dursleys have heard you. If you wish to leave, it's now or never."
Harry conveyed the message to the goblin, who instructed Harry to grab hold of his arm. Then, the goblin, boy, and two animals disappeared with another POP.
