War with myself

I woke up the next day with Elle sleeping next to me. She looked so peaceful and quiet and something about her made her grown up yet childlike innocence ran through her blood. "This is crazy" I kept say but honestly " was it?"
I never watched Disney  growing up, I watched football with my dad who was 6'4" and weighed 250 pounds of pure muscle, so being his only son you can see why I never believed in fairytales. For as long as I can remember my dad gave me the truth, he told me how love only happens if you make it. He always told me when I was down " the worst things in life come free to us." And honestly it's the most true thing I've ever heard.
Anyway back to Elle. With her it felt like a fairytale. And I've only known her for less than 24 hours. So i wanted to make this relationship work. I left before she woke up, but I left a note on her forehead. The note said "I'm in love with the shape of you" and I left my phone number on the bottom. This way if it was meant to be a one night thing, it will be. However I had s gut feeling she would call me.
Sure enough about 7 hours later I get a call from someone. The caller ID read unknown, but I knew it was her so I excitedly picked up. The first words that came out of her mouth was " I love you?"
By her questioning tone of voice I could tell she was confused. Then I said the three little words back and she laughed, she responded to me by saying "What are we doing?" With a giggle in her soft voice. I said "I have no freaking clue, but I like it." Then she hung up.
