"Yay~! It's Valentine's Day~!" Oikawa was in such a good mood because it was Valentine's Day, a day where couples celebrate the day of love. "Ranfa, today is a very special day~! We should be more and more lovey-dovey than usual!"
"Aren't you already doing that every day? Ever since this fic started, you have been bothering me 24/7." For Ranfa, February 14th was just a normal day within the many days in the calendar. She doesn't really think February 14th was anything special, she saw it as an excuse for big businesses to promote items after items to customers who were socially conditioned to have to buy things for their special other on this day. She didn't think it was necessary at all but she wouldn't complain if someone decided to give her a gift though; she will never say no to free gifts.
"Ah~! You are so cute when you are not admitting your true feelings!"
"You sure are conceited. Hold on a moment..." Ranfa got Oikawa to stop.
"Hm?" Oikawa wondered why she stopped but he figured it out when she started to make the ribbons in her hair a little tighter. He was about to ask her why her fingers had bandaids on them but then he remembered her saying she was learning how to play the guitar recently...but the spots where she put them made him questioned against it in his mind though.
The two of them were on a date together and he was excitedly waiting for her to give him something at some point. They already had dinner, it was a matter of time now! He wondered what she got for him on this day; even though she said she doesn't believe in the hype of the day, it doesn't mean she will cruelly leave him empty-handed...right? Right? He swung his department store back and forth, humming a happy tune in wonder of what Ranfa got for him.
Ranfa looked at him and then he looked away. When Ranfa looked away again, Oikawa resumed looking at her in the form of a glance once again. The way he was doing this was like a dog watching the owner eating their own food but also want a bit too.
"You really expect me to give you something?" Ranfa was not stupid, she could sense him glancing down at her every once in a while!
"Yes."
"You already have lots! You're going to get a nosebleed at this rate!"
"Huh?" Did you think he was holding her bags? No, those department store style bags were Valentine's gifts from his dearest fans. The gifts ranged from cookies, chocolates, homemade gifts, and other things that a girl could think of giving a boy because she wanted to stand out from the traditional gifts. "Are you jealous?"
"Of course not, I have so much fun watching everyone give stuff to my boyfriend."
"Ah, this means you are angry."
Ranfa rolled her eyes at him and she fixed her other ribbon in her hair. "Okay, that's fixed."
"Hm! My kouhai is very cute!"
"Complimenting me is not going to make me give you something."
"Do I look like the type to want something in return?"
"It's hard not to make people feel that way, Senpai."
Oikawa's vein was about to pop! "Fine! You're ugly then!"
"Do I now?"
"Yes!"
"Good, I was wondering when looking like you is going to pay off."
"Why you...!" The fact that she still had a comeback ready to launch at him was still an on-going thing!
"Senpai, go and wait at the park."
