Ivan's P.O.V.
'I-I-I'm gonna do this I'm gonna do this. I can't believe I'm gonna do this...nope I can't do this.' A hand came crashing down on my shoulder. "Ack!! What the- oh its you Alfred." I sighed of relief. "What ya got there oh buddy oh pal Ivan?" 'AHHH HE SAW THE BOX!!' "N-nothing." I hid it behind my back. A large smirk spread across his face. 'Oh no.' "Nothing I'm sure it's something! He ran around and managed to grab the box before I could pull it away. 'Sneaky bastard.' "Ahh chocolates for (Y/n) I see hehehe. Is that why you were sweating buckets just now?" 'Aww damn it might as well say it.' "Yea. I also have flowers for her , but first of all I can't find her." I stated once again sighing. "Oh well let me help you out there, I just saw her walking towards the entrance of the school." "Really!! Thanks Alfred." My hopes came back along with my anxiety. "Woah" Alfred turned me around quickly and pushed me towards the exit. "Go get er man!" I
turned around and saw him giving me a thumbs up. "Go on now catch her before it's too late." Simply nodding I ran off towards the entrance.
Each step I took the greater my fear grew. 'What if I get rejected? What if she laughs at me? What if she runs away. What if, what if what if.' "Ivan. Ivan IVAN!?." "Huh what oh s-sorry (Y/n)." I didn't notice that I was standing literally in front of her. 'Aw man the anxiety is back. Just get it over with Ivan.' "Oh yea here you go Ivan." (Y/n) handed me a red box with a golden ribbon on it. "Oh thank...you." She was rubbing the back of her neck with her hand and her face was dusted with a bright pink hue. She refused to look up at me and I thought it looked absolutely adorable. "Uh Ivan are you alright?" 'Crap I must've been staring too long.' "I-im fine I'm fine I swear." I give her a light smile.
A couple of minutes passed and we were still sitting in complete silence. "Well I guess I'll be on my way now." She awkwardly stated. I think my brain gave me a bitch slap into reality. 'How could I forget?' "(Y/n)! W-w-wait...please. I have something to give you too." I pulled out the box of chocolates and handed her a bouquet of sunflowers. "Uh um. Well uh here you go." Her face flushed an even darker hue. "Thank you Ivan." She said bashfully; she tilted her head down and it caused a few strands of (h/c) hair to fall in her face. 'She's so pretty' "Uh (Y/n) I have one more question. I-if you don't mind." She shook her head slowly signaling me to ask the question. My hands trembling and going numb, grabbed a sunflower out of the bouquet and placed it in her hair. 'Where did this confidence come from?' "Will you (F/n) (L/n) make me the happiest and luckiest guy in the world and be my girlfriend. It was like time it's self stopped. 'Welp all that confidence went down the drain.' I could feel my body begin to shake. 1) because I was anxious for her answer. And 2) because I'm FREAKIN OUT. My head felt like it was spinning in circles. 'Oh god. Oh god. I'm gonna get rejected. Shit I should just go now.' My mental debate came to an abrupt stop when I felt arms wrapped around my torso. "Yes" 'Huh did I just hear that right?' "Yes I'll be your girlfriend." She nuzzled her head farther onto my chest. 'She said yes. SHE SAID YES!!!' My arms slowly but surely wrapped around her and I pulled her close showing that I'll protect her with all of my heart. (A/n: Dam this is sappy and cheesy -_- oh well.)
We were still hugging at the entrance of the school minutes after the confession. So this is what warmth feels like. The one thing that I have been searching for all my life and it's here right in front of me.
"Thank you (Y/n) for everything."
