As we walked up to my house I could feel myself shaking but I forced myself to continue walking. I had to do this for Tommy, I had to!
I opened the door and walked into the hallway.
"I'll search for cursed objects and you can babysit." Dean said to Sam as he ran up the stairs.
Sam and I walked into my living room and I tried to stop myself from tearing up.
"Sorry about the.." I pointed to the sofa referring to the blood stains on the couch, as my eyes filled up with tears.
"I haven't had time to clean it since.. you know.."
"It's okay." He muttered pulling me into a hug, I leaned closer into his chest, he smelt like coffee and new books a smell I admittedly liked.
After a moment I pushed myself away from his chest and wiped away my tears with the back of my hand.
"I don't know how I'm ever going to get over this." I sniffed.
Sam stared at me with these big puppy dog eyes and nodded gently.
"I know the feeling." He muttered before pouring salt around me in a circle.
"I recently lost my girlfriend Jess.." He paused.
"It'll be okay." He tried to comfort me but I could hear the doubt in his voice, he was just as broken as I was.
"Are you reassuring me or yourself?"
I mumbled through tears. He stared at me for a moment before looking away quickly.
"Don't step out of the salt."It felt like we were waiting for hours for something to show up.
"This is useless." I muttered. "Ghosts don't exist, there's nothing here."
"Shsh!" Sam hissed at me as his breath turned to vapour in the air.
"It's cold." I whispered as I shook either from the cold or fear as the lights began to flicker.
Sam stood straight clutching an iron pole so tight I could see his knuckles turn white from the other side of the room.
Suddenly the woman appeared walking towards me whispering gently.
Sam charged at her but before he could swing the iron, I yelled at him "Stop!"
He paused and looked at me confused as I edged out of the salt circle.
"She's trying to tell me something."
I listened closely but I didn't quite understand as she disappeared.
"What was she saying?" Sam turned to me.
"Number five, Oakwood drive." I paused. "Its an abounded house around the corner from here.. Why would she send me there?"
Sam shrugged. "There's only one way to find out!"Sam and Dean tried to make me wait in the car, but I insisted on going inside. I had to find out what the hell was going on.
The house was eerily beautiful, like something from a fairytale. The chalky paint fell in fragments leaving the splintered door a bare tarp and ivy gnarled its way through broken windows and every gap it could siege. The wooden stairs leading up to the houses creaked as we made our way into the house.
"We should split up and look around." Dean spoke as he wandered off down a long corridor.
I nodded taking a step forward when Sam grabbed my shoulder, his grip firm.
"Not you, you're staying with me."
"Okay." I smiled.Sam and I made our way around the house keeping an eye out for anything out of the ordinary when we spotted a door that wasn't covered in a thick layer of dust like the others. Sam signalled for me to stand behind him as he opened the door and entered.
I waited a moment before entering after him and I was shocked by what I saw.
"What the fu.."
