Chapter 17

Jakes pov;
"I'm pregnant."
I laugh. "Haha cute joke baby, I love you." I kiss her forehead.
Her face forms into a serious look. "What? I'm not kidding." She was stating it... But it sounded more like a question. But why would she lie?
"Oh hell no. Did they fucking touch you?!" I shout feeling the anger rise in me and my wolf.
"No! You did! I'm pregnant with YOUR baby!"
"You're serious?!" I shout. Already imaging our baby.
"Yes!" My eyes fill with tears. "Re-really?"
I was stuttering now? Really?!
She chuckles.
"Yes, baby."
She places a hand on my cheek. I grab it, lean down, and kiss her stomach.
Pressing my ear against it. Already hearing the heart beat.
"I.. I can't believe it." My mind was spiraling. Baby's, cloths, pack, diapers, school, girlfriends..
Like she read my mind she locked lips with me.
"Sh.. It'll be okay. Don't worry about it now.. All we have to worry about is the baby."
I nod, swallowing the lump in my throat. We hear a knock on the door and look up. There, stood our pack doctor.
"Hello.. Am I interrupting anything?" He asks a little awkward. I shake my head. "No. You may come in." He bows to us.
"Alpha, Luna, your baby is healthy and okay." I sigh. Her facial expression was normal. But with a bit of.. Sadness.
"You okay, baby?" I ask.
She nods. "I'm just a little tired.." I nod and kiss her hand. The doctor had already left. She decided I must sleep with her on the bed. I crawled in next to her and slowly drift off.

***5 WEEKS LATER***

Ambers pov;

I waddled around the couch. Holding a bowl of popcorn. "Oh my God, I've been craving this so bad." I remind Amanda. She giggles.
"You're huge!" I glare at her. She lowers her head.
"Sorry.. I meant the Baby makes YOU look huge."
I sit down and smile. Victorious. Shoving a handful of popcorn in my mouth I crunch down the delicious snack.
I could hear the panting of jake. Along with the sounds of grumbles, moans, and pants. He had been training all the young wolves.
He walks in, engulfing the whole room with the smell of arm pit. I ignored it, being polite. While Amanda holds her nose.
"Hi baby." I greet him.
He pecks my lips. "Hi. How you feeling?"
He rests his ass on the back of the couch next to my face.
"Umm you better take that stinky ass out of my face." I correct. He gets up and stretches.
"Whatever. I gotta shower anyways." He jogs up the stairs, disappearing into the hall way.
A sharp pain stabs under my boob. I grunt and touch it. The baby was kicking.
Amanda looks over at me with a mouth full of popcorn. "Yoo okkaay?"
She asks between chews. I nod and lie my head on the back of the couch. Rubbing my stomach.
The doctor had told us he'd be on his way very soon!

Jakes pov;

I walked into our room and headed straight to the shower. I reeked of sweat and dirt.
'No wonder she didn't wanna touch you.' My wolf bitches. I roll my eyes. Removing my sweat filled cloths, throwing them in the dirty hamper.
I step into the shower, turn on the warm water, and lay back. Relaxed. Letting the water trickle down my body.

After 20 minutes I finish. Only to find everyone screaming.
"What's going on?!" I shout to Amanda.
"Our Luna is in labor!" A other shouted.
I followed the nurses. They led me to a big room, with everyone in scrubs. A nurse handed me some. I quickly put them on and rushed to the side of my mate.
"It's okay, baby." I comfort. She stares at me dismayed. "It'll be okay." I promised. She nodded and held her breathe as another contraction hit her.

Ambers pov;

The pain was so intense. I was getting mind links from almost everyone in our pack, wishing me a good and healthy delivery.
It was sweet at first, then annoying. I blocked them all out. Jake was holding on to my hand, squeezing every time I would groan. "Baby, it's okay.. It'll be over soon.."
I hold my breathe and nod. Taking the pain. Remembering it's for my baby. The doctor finally came back in, along with two other nurses.
"Alpha. We're being attacked." The doctor announced. I turn my head to see Jake's facial expression. Shock, and worried. "Baby, what are we gonna do?" I ask.
He holds his breathe, thinking. "I gotta out there and help.. You'll be okay. I promise." He kisses my forehead and walks out.
I'm left with the nurses and doctors to deliver this baby myself.

Jakes pov;

The battle was bloody, horrible. Many body's from our pack were sprawled around everywhere.
I helped a omegle grab the younger wolves and hide them underground. Away from everything. As I gave the last child to her, a pain spread up my shoulder. Giving me goose bumps. I touched my shoulder blade. Blood covered my hand, dripping down to the grass.
I looked up, in front of me was a random grey wolf. Baring his teeth. On his paw was blood, I'm guessing mine. I shift and pull my body down low. I lean forward, propelling myself onto him.
My body is met with his razor nails, and I fall to the ground. My whole body was spazzing, the pain was unbearable. My eyes closed shut, drying to block out the pain.

Amanda's pov;

I casted a spell over the hospital. Asking the moon goddess to protect us. I stood next to amber as she pushed as ordered by the doctor. "Okay I can see the head!" The doctor announces.
"You're doing great, the heads already out!" I remind her. She nods and grits her teeth, and breathes in. Preparing for another push. She screams her head off when the baby's out, and from her scream, erupted another.
The baby was completely out. Just then, a loud banging came from the door. I sniffed the air and turn to her. "Rouges." Pure terror spread across her face.
The doctors cut the umbilical cord and hand him to amber.

Ambers pov;

I was holding my beautiful baby in my arms! His soft green eyes opened for the first time. Staring up at me, he gave me a tired look.
'Whys it tired? We're the ones who've been in labor for hours!' My wolf grumbled.
I ignore her and hold my baby. For a split second, everything was perfect. Until the door busted open, revealing a rouge. He stank of blood and dirt.
Amber shifted and ran at it, shoving her teeth onto its neck. He swatted at her like she was a fly. Her body flung off him and she hit the wall with a big thud.
Out cold. The doctor shifted and attacked him, linking to the nurses to prepare wolvesblan. They got right on it, and while the doctor fought with the wolf, the nurses shoved wolvesblan into the rouge. Beating him with their heels, which I thought was extremely funny.

'Baby?' I kept linking jake.
Nothing.
Panic filled me. Oh, God, where is he?!
