"sometimes you just have to stop and let yourself breathe. As the days, months and years pass by, always remember to take time to reflect and be thankful of the life you've lived. remind yourself to live each day like it's your last."
Those were the last words my grandmother said to me. I try to live by her words everyday, although fighting for my life isnt exactly what I had in mind when she whispered them to me.
Everyday is the same, more people disappear never to be heard from again. No one knows where they go, or how their taken but one thing we all know is if we want to stay alive, we have to keep moving.
Most of us travel in groups, or try to stay underground. Our group has been together since all of this started. The three of us never travel alone, Gage is our leader, no one moves unless he tell us, he has some sort of sixth sense or something, if were in danger he just seems to know some how. Maria is our nature/ food expert, if we can eat it she knows about it. and then theres me. Quinn, I guess im just the home maker.. I try to make everyone feel comfortable and happy where ever It is that we end up sleeping.
This all started about four years ago, we used to be a normal little town until our missing persons list gained most of our citizens. I remember sitting with my Gram on her porch when we found out that my brother, Jasper, was to be deployed to the middle east. I'll never forget the look of fear that I had seen in my brothers eyes as he told us. That was the day everything was turned upside down.
