"I trusted you!"
Alfred snapped out of his trance and ducked out of the way just in time. "Red!? You're Arthur's brother!?"
Arthur stepped closer. "What!? What's going on!?"
Alistair stumbled back to his feet and snarled at the younger werewolf. "You mated him! Didn't you!?"
"Alistair!" Arthur shouted, almost afraid to get too close. "What in the name of-!?"
"Stay back, Arthur!" Alistair snapped, burning narrowed eyes stuck to Alfred. "I don't want you hurt!"
Arthur did as told, looking over at Alfred.
Alfred seemed in shock. His eyes were wide behind his glasses and he stood ram rod straight. "You... You're... You lied!" Alfred shouted, brows furrowing together. "Holy shit, you- oh my- we moved here so you could be closer to your brother who's supposed to be a hunter!?"
The younger Brit gulped as he listened. "Hunter? What is going on - what are you talking about!?"
He was listened to. It seemed that neither heard him. Alistair shouted and lounged at Alfred.
Alfred yelped as he was tackled to the floor, then snarled and fought back. Alistair grunted as a fist jabbed into his gut, then threw his own punch into Alfred's jaw. Arthur didn't know what to do.
The younger man howled in pain as Alistair clamped down on his arm; teeth like a wolf's. Alfred shoved Alistair off, sending the man stumbling back. "This is why you never said your name!" Alfred accused, leaping at Alistair.
They crashed into the coffee table, causing Arthur to scream and leap back. Alistair snapped up at Alfred and threw him off. "You never needed to know my name!" Alistair slammed his foot into Alfred's stomach. "I'm your Alpha! You obey me! You don't ask questions!"
Alfred wheezed and coughed. He growled and glared up at Alistair. "I challenge you..."
Arthur gasped, eyes widening as Alfred stood. "Alfred, don't-"
Alistair bared his teeth and snarled. "You're too weak to challenge me. You'll die."
"Good." Alfred ground out through clenched teeth. "Then I won't have to live with your lie."
The older man smirked. "And my brother will be rid of you. No longer burdened by you."
"Alistair-!"
"Now. I'll fight you now." Alfred demanded.
Alistair's grin widened. "I wouldn't want to wait a moment longer."
~
Alfred and Alistair stood just a few meters apart in the middle of a clearing. Their pack made a large circle around them, Gilbert and Matthias holding Arthur back.
Alistair shrugged off his jacket and tossed it behind him. "You sure, Alfred?" Alistair smirked, eyes flashing. "You've never transformed outside of the cycle before."
"I've had no need until now." Alfred muttered, rolling his shoulders. "I heard it's quicker and painless."
"Quite right. In mere seconds, you're a wolf." Alistair raised his hands. "Fair fight. No weapons aside from ourselves. Only in wolf form."
"Agreed."
"Good."
"Don't do this, Alfred!" Gilbert shouted.
Alfred didn't look at him. "It's too late."
Arthur's heart throbbed painfully as his elder brother and his lover both shifted in the blink of an eye and lounged at each other.
Alistair barreled right into Alfred, clamping down on his shoulder. Alfred howled and flailed as he was thrown to the ground. Alfred thrashed and lashed out his paw. His claws caught Alistair's cheek. Alistair yelped, then snarled and leapt onto Alfred.
The younger wolf growled and flung Alistair off of himself. Alistair barked as he collided with the ground and rolled.
Alfred pounced, but was kicked back. Alfred wheezed, breath knocked out of him. Alfred stumbled on his paws, panting heavily already.
Alistair lashed his tail as he stood. He snarled, fur on end. Alfred copied him. Alfred limped as they circled each other.
The red wolf howled and bolted for Alfred. Alfred planted his paws firmly, then leapt forward. Alistair stumbled and fell, then Alfred went on to attack.
"Make them stop!" Arthur cried, jerking in Gilbert's arms. "Stop, make them stop it!"
Gilbert tightened his grip. "We can't stop them, now."
Matthis looked away. "I wish we could... Alfred, you're so stupid..."
Alfred howled as he was thrown to the ground. Alistair placed a firm paw on his chest and pushed down. Alfred thrashed and wailed, his ribs giving under the pressure. Alistair barked then latched his jaw down on Alfred's throat. Alfred's cry died as he struggled, blood soaking his fur and bubbling in his mouth. Alfred's struggles ceased, gurgled noises being the only sound from him.
Gilbert turned Arthur away as he screamed, thrashing and fighting in his grip.
Alistair pulled back and licked his lips. "The fool should have known it would end This way..." He murmured to no one but himself. He lowered his head and rubbed his nose to Alfred's cheek.
Alistair turned and shook his body. He looked up to where Gilbert held Arthur back. Alistair's ears flattened as he listened to his brother. Arthur would probably hate him now, but... This was for the best. Alistair had to do what was best for his little brother. Now he'll have Ludwig erase his memories. Forget Alfred, forget werewolves... Have a normal life.
Alistair flinched at the growl from behind him. He slowly turned his head to look back.
Alfred pushed himself to his paws. "It's not... Over yet..." He panted, blood soaking his tongue and dripping from his throat. Alistair's eyes widened and he stumbled back as Alfred lounged with a battlecry.
Alistair fell on his back and howled as Alfred clamped down on his throat, closer to his jaw than he had gotten on Alfred. Alistair thrashed and wailed, trying to force Alfred off. The edges of his sight faded, steadily growing black.
"I give!" Alistair cried. "I give, I give! I surrender!"
Alfred gave a firm squeeze of his jaw, forcing a pained cry from Alistair before releasing. Both panted heavily, blood soaking their fur. Alfred huffed and stumbled.
Trembling fingers wove through the thick fur on his cheeks. Alfred's heavy eyes fluttered open to look at Arthur.
Arthur pet him, sobbing softly. "Alfred..." He whispered.
Alfred whimpered, ears flattening back against his head as he pressed his head against Arthur's chest. "... Arthur..."
