"Hey, Toni! What's up?"
"Oh, uh, I thought I was calling Arthur."
"Yeah, you did. He's just... He started his heat last night."
"Oh. Oh! Uhm, okay. Well, do you think when it's settled down you could tell him that I'll have an interview set up for him once it's over?"
"Yeah, man! I'll tell him!"
"Alright, thanks."
Alfred set Arthur's phone down on the nightstand, looking down as Arthur tugged on his clothes. "Hey, patience is a virtue."
Arthur pulled himself up to roughly kiss Alfred. "I don't give a bloody fuck."

Alfred sighed, closing the laptop and leaning back in the desk chair. "Finally... Finished the stupid essay."
He hummed softly, closing his eyes as Arthur's fingers knead into his shoulders. "Come lay down."
"When'd you get back from the interview?" Alfred mused, lolling his head.
Arthur leaned over, kissing Alfred's cheek. "Just a moment ago. Antonio said he'll call me within the week."
Alfred smiled, tilting his head back. "I'm proud of you. I'm so happy you're taking this so well. I'm sorry for wasting those four years of college."
"Not totally wasted." Arthur mused, pecking Alfred's lips. "Antonio said he'd hire me into the business department rather than the catering."
"That's good. Put some use to that degree."
Arthur chuckled, running his hands down Alfred's chest. "Come on. Lay down with me."
Alfred grinned.
