Request - Could you possibly write a one shot where Y/N is at university in the U.K. and Niall has been spending lots of time in LA. Can it be when he's visiting her in her university apartment and they have to share a single bed and it's all cuddly and cute?

Another boring day, another boring lecture. English, not a favorite. Writing was fine, it was just what the teacher made us write, or the books we were forced to read. Hating being told to do something, I procrastinated until the last minute. And on top of already have three other assignments, the teacher wanted us to analyze a collection of poems, nothing I wanted for my weekend.

Checking my phone, it would still be too early in Los Angeles. While he was writing, he'd regularly stay up late into the night. Meaning he would wake up late the next morning, which was fine, it just made it difficult for us to find time to speak to each other. And sometimes, like today, I really just wanted to hear his voice. But I guess I knew that when I started dating Niall. I knew the album was important to him, but he'd been gone almost two months, and every day felt like an eternity.

Sending him a quick message before driving home, asking for a call once he was awake. Not expecting him for several hours, I stopped for a coffee before arriving at my apartment.

Why was it the apartment never looked the same when I got home as how it did when I left? Oh right, that's because my roommate made massive messes and then all but refused to ever do any amount of cleaning. Today there were all her dirty dishes still in the living room, along with her clothes throughout the house. Did she just walk around taking her clothes off and drop them as she went? I'd worry about that stuff later, right now I just want to get out of these jeans and into sweats.

After finding myself something to eat, I settled into the couch for a bit of TV and social media. Quickly though I threw my phone next to me after the seventh political post and more of my friends either getting married or having babies. Flopping my head back against the couch before shutting my eyes. Maybe I should just shut my social media down, there never seem to be anything good on them anyway.

Finally after moping another ten minutes, I stood and decided to get some work done. Grabbing the dirty dishes from around me, I carried them to the kitchen. Upon opening the dishwasher, I discovered my roommate had not unloaded the last load like I asked but instead was just taking things as she needed. So before I could wash her now dirty dishes I had to first unload the clean ones then reload it. Why was this so hard for her? She had told me she had a stay at home mom, but she clearly did everything for her. I not even sure she could make macaroni and cheese on her own. When I discovered she wasn't buying any of her own groceries but rather eating my food, I told her our landlord had increased rent when he really didn't. It was just so she would pay more for the food she was eating. I felt kind of bad about it at first, but Niall convinced me it was just being fair.

It was around eight when I heard my phone ringing. Quickly I ran for it, not wanting him to hang up. Clicking on the green button, I saw his smiling face pop up on the screen. "Hey petal, how are you?" He asked.

"I'm good. Did you just wake up?" His hair was clearly still a mess from sleeping, not yet done.

"Yeah, another late night of writing. Album's coming alone though, can't wait for you to hear it."

"Me too, when do you think you'll have it done?" He had told me when he left he was planning on finishing it before he'd come home.

"Not for a couple of months."

"Oh."

"What's wrong?" His eyes were soft, worry filled.

"That just means you'll be in LA for a couple of more month and I'm not going to see you." I didn't want them to, but I could feel the tears pooling.
