Kara awoke to the sound of her phone's blaring alarm.
"Fuck," she mumbled, "Is it already 5?" She said grabbing her phone off the bedside stand. She looked down at the tiny screen which confirmed her first problem of the day, that it was in fact 5 A.M.
She rubbed her eyes sleepily, and after a few moments decided to roll out of bed. She had stayed up til around 2 the night before, defending national city from a few robbers who had decided that it'd be a good night for robbing a bank. Unluckily for Kara, that meant she had only gotten 3 hours of sleep, since she had to be at work at 7:30 to give Snapper her latest article. Then she had an interview at 8 with the CEO of L-Corp, Lena Luthor. Lena was a young woman, not much older than Kara herself, with raven black hair and blue-grey eyes. Kara had previously interviewed Lena, and she had even started to consider the woman as a friend.
As she walked towards the bathroom, her phone buzzed, notifying her of a text message. She grabbed her phone from her bed and continued towards the bathroom. As she was looking down to check who the message was from, she ran into the doorway and dropping her phone in the process. It landed on the floor with a crash, and she was sure she heard it crack.
"I really don't have time for this," Kara muttered as she bent down to pick up her phone. Looking over it she saw that there was only a small fracture on the screen and nothing major. She unlocked it and opened the message that was from Lena.
'Can't wait to see you later! How long do you think you'll be able to stay? :))'
It took Kara a second to think of a reply, she had totally forgot Lena even had her number, so seeing this was a surprise.
'So am I! The interview itself shouldn't take too long, possibly an hour, why?' she sent it back a few minutes after the first message. Lena replied back instantly though,
'Well I just wanted to catch up and talk with you, not on record of course. Maybe we could meet up for lunch somewhere?
Kara leaned against her counter, supporting herself while she thought. Why would Lena want to talk to me? To her I'm just an journalist. Right? She sent a message back saying sure, and they could discuss where after she got there.

"Danvers! You're Late!" Snapper yelled as Kara walked into her office at CatCo.
"I know, I know! I'm sorry, traffic was awful this morning," and by that she meant she had to stop at the DEO because she hadn't replied to Alex's text right away and she wanted to prove to her sister she was alright. That also left her extremely tired and in need of coffee so she stopped to get that too. Whoops.
She handed Snapper her article, and the went to her desk and grabbed her pad and pencil before she quickly walked back out towards the elevator.
"I want a decent article on the Luthors, Ms.Danvers!" Snapper said as she walked by.
"Yes sir!" She said, as she got on the elevator and pressed the 1st floor button. On her way down she checked her phone to see how much time she had. 15 minutes. Fuck, she thought, I'll have to fly. She walked off the elevator and headed out the door and towards an empty street. She looks around to make sure no one will see, and then takes off to the sky. She heads straight to the L-Corp building and lands in an alley between it and the next building over and quickly heads inside.
"Kara Danvers?" A young woman, who Kara figures is Lena's Assistant.
"Yes, thats me!" Kara replies a bit awkardly.
"Ms. Luthor will see you shortly, but feel free to make yourself some coffee or just sit if you'd like," She motioned to where the coffee brewer and few couches were.
"Thanks," Kara smiled and went and sat on one of the couches.

Not even ten minutes later Kara found herself being shaken awake.
"Ms. Danvers? Ms. Luthor will see you now," Her assistant said. She seemed to be worried that Kara had fallen asleep so easily on the couch.
"Yes I'm Ms. Danvers!" Kara sputterd as she stood up quickly, almost falling over. A few secornds later she realized where she was and began apologizing to the assistant, "I'm so so so sorry, I didn't mean to I just didn't sleep very well last-" She was cut off by the assistant.
"It's fine Ms. Danvers, but Lena will see you now, so please follow me," She says before leading her up to Lena's office.
Lena was awaiting Kara and when she sleepily walked into her office, she tried not to laugh at the tired journalist but it was pretty impossible.
"Is everything alright Ms. Danvers?" Lena chuckled as she shook Kara's hand.
"Uh yeah, I just fell asleep, I'm sorry," Kara stuttered and then added, "Also, If I call you Lena then call me Kara."
Lena smiled, "Of course. Shall we get this interview started then?"
"We shall," Kara agreed, sitting on one of the seats across from Lena's desk.

"Well I think that's all the questions I have," said Kara wile putting her notepad back in her purse.
"Well I enjoyed them. But now the fun part, lunch plans," Lena stood and led Kara to her loveseat, a much more comfortable place to talk than from across a desk.
"Yeah of course, what were you thinking?" Kara said blushing at how close she was to Lena.
"Well I know this bistro we could go to? If that alright with you of course," Lena said flustered and she looked at her lap. Kara had never seen her this way before and was kinda surprised but the blush creeping up Lena's face. "That sounds lovely," Kara smiled and gave Lena a hug before standing up, "I'll meet you there? Noonish?"
"Yes that sounds good. I'll text you the address, Its not far from here though. And if that's all then I'll walk you out," Lena stood as well and gave Kara another hug before leading her out.
