holding a cherry blossom stem while looking at me.
"What a strong wind." He said still holding the cherry blossom branch.
"You broke it." I said
He look confused as to what I mean you broke it.
"You broke the branch." I said
"Ah... I didn't plan to, but the wind... and then I..." he tried to explain
"You want it?" He said after
"I just wanted a petal to float in the tea. That's all." I explained
"Oh." He said
"Here, have some buns." I said smiling giving him some buns.
"Smells good" he said
"Thank you." I said
"You are one of Shouka's daughters?" He suddenly asked
"Yeah, how did you know?"
"They taste the same as the one he always brings."
'Is he a friend of fathers?' I thought
"These are... my favorite buns."
"Thank you for the compliment."
"I'm Kou Rose. And your name is...?" I asked
"Name..." He said
"I can't greet you without a name."
"Ryuu... Ran..."
"Ah, you're from the Ran family?"
"Yes! I am Ran Shuuei."
'Ran Shuuei... But isn't that one of the people I just bumped into awhile ago?'
"Oh. Ran Shuuei is it?"
"What is one of Shouka's Daughters doing here?"
"Well...To serve the Harem ..."
"Serving the Harem? Shouka, too..."
"Really? How strange? Haha"
I sat down beside him and a peaceful silence fell between us.
"Cherry blossoms are beautiful."
"Do you like it or do you hate it?"
"Why do you ask?"
"For your eyes seem sad when you see them."
"I like Cherry Blossoms very much. But the ones at home no longer bloom."
"No longer bloom?"
"Yeah. And it's not just the cherry blossoms."
"Eh?"
"Wait! How many have you eaten? You're going to kill your stomach if you eat too much."
I took the bun he was holding and placed it back at the box.
"I'll pack the rest for you. And you've even got crumbs all over your face. You're such a kid!"
"I'm 19! I'm not a kid anymore!"
"Ah! You're the same age as his majesty, eh?"
"..."
"What should I do to meet him?"
"The king?"
