A trip down the rabbit hole? I don't think so.

Prologue

"Mommy! Mommy! Come back. My legs can't keep up and I'm getting tired!"

She gave a small laugh and stopped in her tracks as she turned around slowly. The winds that blew her long silver hair to the side made the woman look graceful. She was at an average height with 'curves' even with her skinny body. She had ice blue eyes and a pale complexion. Even though her appearance made her look attractive yet cold, her heart was warmer than the heat of a fireplace on a cold winters night.

The winds made my light blue hair blow all over the place, covering my face as I tried to move it out of the way while I ran as far as my legs could take me.

She picked me up with a warm smile, spinning as I laughed with joy. My arms spread wide as the sunset coloured flowers around us swayed from side to side. The woman suddenly stopped spinning and turned to the deep male voice that called out to us. I squealed with delight, wriggling to get out of the woman's grip. She let go and I ran with my tired legs over to the tall man and the young boy standing beside him.

"Papa! Jacey!" I cried out, running into the arms of the young boy.

"It's Jace, Lynnie. J-a-c-e." He said, hugging me tightly.

"B...B...But you call me Lynnie, so you can be Jacey!"

The man laughed, messing up my hair. I pouted, trying to fix it. I smiled once more as everything suddenly became darker and darker. My smile didn't stay on my face for long as it soon became a serious yet curious expression.

There was nothing else but the shadowy surroundings. Right in front of me, though, was a rose. A clear one; one of no colour. It was still, in mid air, right in front of me. Although the rose was clear, it looked as if it was made of gentle pillows of snow. Reaching out, with my finger I pricked myself by touching the stem, the frozen feeling from the rose engulfed me as my legs felt like jelly. I fell down and I kept falling down into the darkness, until finally. I woke up out of breath and freezing like I'd just been hit by a snow storm.

Hey everyone. As you may know, this is my first story so I hope you will all enjoy. My chapters may be a little short, so I'm really sorry about that. I'll try to update as much as possible.
