Eve of the Fox

Chapter 1

Aiko was walking through the forest when she saw a small fox. She bent down and pet, the fox nuzzled her hand and she smiled. "I've always wanted a pet." She reached down and picked up the fox holding him in her arms. "Sorry little guy do you mind if I steal you?" She joked laughing a bit, "C'mon I'll take you home." She turned around and began walking away.

Aiko arrived at her apartment and unlocked the door walking inside. She set the fox down and looked at him. "Hmm I think I'll name you... Shiro! Yes Shiro, it fits a good name for a fox with black fur." She walked over to her dresser and began shuffling through if, eventually she pulled out a small white collar, it had black cherry blossom petals on it and a silver metal buckle. She put it around Shiro's neck adjusting it so the buckle was in the front. "There, now you stay here in going to go buy you some food." She turned around and walked out locking the door.

Aiko arrived at the pet shop and grabbed what she needed before heading back. "Here you go little guy." She said putting a dish down and filling it with food, she looked around not seeing her little fox. "Hey, little guy?" She asked walking into the living room to see a man sitting on her couch. She payed attention to his black hair, red eyes and odd choice of clothing. But one thing stood out most of all. The white choker around his neck. It had black cherry blossom petals in it and a buckle in the front. "Shiro?" She asked and there was a flash of light as a red ring appeared around her wrist connected to a red string leading to the mans neck. The man started laughing hysterically, but calmed down after a while.

"Not interesting at all." He spoke his eyes holding an insane glint.

"What are you? What did you do?" Aiko demanded and Shiro smiled.

"It's not what I did it's what you did."

"What I did?" She asked and Shiro smirked before explaining the concept of Servamps.

"So as long as you don't drink my blood for 24 hours the contract will be canceled?" Shiro nodded,

"Yes but that wouldn't be interesting at all." He disappeared and Aiko felt something sharp pierce her neck. She gasped and Shiro pulled away licking the blood from his mouth.

"Why did you make the contract permanent?" Aiko demanded as a red chain appeared connecting her wrist to the back of his neck.

"Because it seemed interesting. You may call me Tsubaki."

"Why don't I just call you the name I gave you?" She questioned confused.

"Because that wouldn't be interesting at all." She shrugged and slipped into a jacket putting on her shoes before opening the door. "Going somewhere?"

"Ya I'm going to go meet with my friend Mahiru." Tsubaki nodded smirking, Aiko bent down and picked up Tsubaki as he transformed into a fox. "C'mon let's go." She put him in her bag and walked out locking he door.

Aiko appeared downtown to see Mahiru, Ryusei, and Koyuki already there, she waved "Hey guys!" Mahiru waved back and pulled out a cat holding it out for them to see.

"This cats actually a vampire!" He exclaimed and Aiko hummed.

"A vampire? You're starting to sound like Sakuya." Koyuki told him and Ryusei sighed,

"You're not going to start telling stories like him are you?"

"WHERE IS SAKUYA ANYWAYS? HE'D BE ALL OVER THIS!" Mahiru shouted and Aiko sighed.

Aiko's P.O.V.
"Mahiru just shut up." I spoke irritatedly. "Anyways I'm gonna go now, I got a bad feeling about this place..." I trailed off hoping they'd get the hint and leave as well. However boys will be boys and they just waved goodbye as I left.

Tsubaki and I sat on top of a sign above the area and watched. I saw a pink haired maniac swing down in front of my friends. "That's Belkia, he's my subclass." Tsubaki told am and I nodded as I watched the entire affair occur. The whole time I didn't move, I didn't help my friends I just sat in Tsubaki's lap his arms wrapped around me and watched. After it was over they grabbed Belkia, who was now a doll, and left.

"Aren't you worried for your subclass?" I asked and Tsubaki just looked down at me and smirked.

"We'll get him another day." We sat there a while longer when police showed up and began investigating. Tsubaki started laughing and in the heat of the moment I joined him, our insane laughter filling he air.

"Not interesting at all..." Tsubaki sighed once he stopped laughing.

"Not interesting at all." I repeated shortly after softer than him.

The next day it was just Tsubaki and me as we were at a sushi restaurant eating off of the conveyor belt. "Well I do believe I'll rescue my subclass now." I watched as Tsubaki started walking towards Mahiru and his cat. It started raining and I looked up.

"Rain while it's sunny?" I heard below me and saw that it was Mahiru. All of a sudden a red dome surrounded him, I just happened to be inside the dome but he couldn't see me.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA... oh not interesting at all." Tsubaki spoke and I smiled.

"You must be Tsubaki!" Mahiru accused and Tsubaki smirked.

"Ya I'm the one that they call Tsubaki, so what? I'm the one who wants to start a war, so what? I'm the one who wants to slaughter countless humans and vampires, so what?" Tsubaki was now standing right infront of Mahiru. "I'll be taking this." Tsubaki said now standing a little ways away from Mahiru holding his bag in one hand and Belkia in the other. Mahiru gasped as he looked behind himself to see that his bag was indeed missing.

"Oh my precious TsuTsu you're late." Belkia lightly scolded in a joking manner.

"Precious TsuTsu?" Mahiru muttered and I giggled.

I sighed, "This is so boring." I muttered to myself ignoring their conversation. Until I heard that Mahiru wanted to become Tsubaki's eve.

"I'll start by giving you a name!" Mahiru shouted holding Tsubaki by the collar of his shirt.

"What if you died before that happened?" Tsubaki asked and was about to impale Shirota with his sword.

"Mahiru!" Sloth exclaimed jumping for the boy. Right as Shiro was about to stab Shirota the two disappeared.

"Oh they're gone?" I asked no longer seeing Shirota or Sloth.

"Yes. Let's go." Tsubaki said and turned around as we started walking away the dome disappearing. "I already have a name don't I teacher?" Tsubaki suddenly mutters to himself and I stared at him.

"You also already have an Eve, me and only me don't forget." I told him wrapping my arms around him from behind. Tsubaki chuckled.

"Oh jealous are we now?" He asked and I blushed, quickly straightening myself before walking infront of them.

"No, c'mon let's just go I still gotta move my stuff to your place." Tsubaki nodded smirking and all 3 of us vanished.
