The Gangster's Double Life

Chapter 1

Chapter 1.

~*~Jaymie’s POV~*~

“Love! Yana’s here!” That’s my uncle Robert; he has been my mum and dad for the past 17 years. He took care of me when my parents died.

“Coming, Uncle Rob!” It’s the first day of senior year today, and I’m close to going late I guess.

After, I brush my tooth, take a bath, dress up and put my shoes on; I went downstairs to meet my best friend, Yana. She is the only friend I got in this village and she is also been since I moved here. I love her to death, because she always sticks with me, out of the two of us, she’s the bravest in everything.

The problem is? She likes a gangster. His name is Caleb Isaac; he’s like the right hand of Kayden Romero. Kayden is the leader of a gang called Black Aura.  They can be really scary if they want, but they can be nice too, sometimes.

“Hey, Jay, ready for the first day?” We both love school! Who wouldn’t?

“Obviously it’ll be the people at our school.” She heard that?

“Jay, you said that out loud.”  Oh.

Before I forget to introduce myself, I’m Jaymie Elizabeth Irwin. I’m 18 going to 19 on July 4, 2014.  Yes, I was born on United States’ Independence Day. I don’t have siblings and my uncle Rob doesn’t have any girlfriends or a wife, but he is deciding if he wants to adopt, of course, he wants my permission. He wants that if he will adopt it’ll be a baby or at least 0-3 years old.

“So come on?”

“Yeah sure let’s go! Bye uncle, see you later!”

“Bye Jamie, see you later, love!”

If you’re wondering why my uncle calls me love, which is because we’re British. Well, he’s British, but I’m more of a British-Australian blood.

“So are you ready for the first day?” I ask already knowing the answer to my own question.

“Yes! Oxygen and Magnesium, Jaymie! I’m gonna see Caleb!” She squealed in my ear! SHE SQUEALED IN MY EAR! That hurts!

“Is that the only reason why you want to go to school?”

“Of course, well, of course I also want to graduate, but that’s the main reason.” Oh Yana.

“You’re sure you’re not in love with Caleb?” Because, I’m sure that you are.

“No!” She’s denying it. I feel it in my bones.

“Yes you are. Studies say that a “like” lasts for 4 months but if it last longer it means you’re in love.” I saw that in a photo actually. Dunno if it’s true.

“Oh we’re here! C’mon! I wanna see Caleb!” Is it me or she just ignored my question? Well she’s right at saying we’re already at school, but she still ignored my question.

At school, we went to the office to get our timetables and locker code, just to go face to face with THE Black Aura Gang. I smell trouble.

“Uh. H-Hi?” I stifle a laugh. So, the oh so confident Brianna Grace Smith becomes dumbfounded when she got face to face with Black Aura? Now is not the time to laugh Jamie! We got a situation here.

“Who do we have here?” Uh-oh. Looks like he doesn’t like someone bumping on him, but of course who would?

“We are just going to go now actually, right Yana?” I held her arm tugging it so that we could go. I also nudged her to catch her attention. She catches the drift and we started getting away from the guys. Right when we passed them a guy held hold of my hand and immediately I felt sparks. He tightened his hold like he was saying that he wants us to stay or something. I stopped walking and started to lose my hold of Yana. I looked up to see who held my hand and was shocked to see Kayden Romero.
