Authors Note: Hey guys!!! so I'm finally updating< sorry it took so long i had to get my tablet fixed. But i changed some things up like the girls name is Saphyre. you guys might want to go back and read the first 2 chapters again. i hope you guys love the new chapter! i made it longer like u guys said i should. *8 Years later*

Dillon and I shuffled up the drive way of my aunts house. I opened the front door, feeling along the wall to find the alarm code panel. When I found it I flipped the top up and quickly hit buttons 4524 and flipped the top panel down. I turned around to find Dillon still standing on the front porch.

"You don't have to wait for me to tell you that you can come in, ya know? You're always allowed in." He smiled and I backed up and opened the door wide enough for him to come in. I followed him in to the living room, plopping down on the couch next to him.

I had spent a lot of time here lately because my mom had been experimenting with a lot of drugs lately. It was a nice house with a second story, basement, and a porch that stretches all the way around the house.

"I wonder if Mindy is inside." I said to Dillon. Mindy was my aunts 2 year old massive husky with grey and white fur and ice blue eyes that could freeze you to the spot.

" I don't think so. She would have done barreled us down if she was." Dillon smiled at me as he got up. He walked to the back door and I followed him out on to the porch and whistled loudly. A few seconds passed and then Mindy came dashing towards us with her tongue hanging out and her tail flopping around. Bolting up the stairs of the deck she tackled me to the ground and started licking me all over the face. I tried to push her off but she was as solid as a wall and wouldn't move. "MINDY!OFF!" I yelled as I pushed her some more, she still wouldn't move. I groaned and tried to move her again but it was in vain. Then all of a sudden someone lifted her off me and I looked up to see the smiling face of my brother, Mike.

"Mike!" I shouted throwing my arms around his neck. My brother just chuckled and hugged me back. "Still Thing 1 and Thing 2 huh?" he asked using the nicknames he had come up with for Dillon and I.

"Of course!" i say giving mike a lopsided smile.

"I wouldn't want it any other way." Dillon said smiling. We had been inseparable since kindergarten and where always together.

Come on, I have to show you guys something." mike turned and ran off toward the stable. The house was on about 15 acres of land, behind the house was a horse stable that held about 10 or so horses. the stable had a fence running around it in the shape of a rectangle. on the opposite side of the rectangle was a barn that housed Goats,Sheep,Chickens,Pigs and any other animal my aunt wanted. Behind the stable and pasture was acres of forests, and lakes.

I gave Dillon a sly smile and dashed off towards the stable to catch up to Mike.I ran as fast as I could and I heard Dillon's footsteps behind me the whole way! When I got to the gate of the pasture I was out of breath and panting. "I beat you!" I said in between gasps of air.

" No fair!You got a head start!'

"Your just saying that because yo got beat by a girl!" I said sticking my tongue out at him like a little kid. He only laughed at me as I opened the gate for him saying "Loser's first." I followed him through the gate and closed it behind me.

Dillon and I walked in to the stables to see Mike saddling up a mare named silver, for her silver looking hair. "Where are we going" I ask walking over to silver and patting her neck. "You will see" Mike said giving me a small smile. Mike put the bit in silvers mouth, pushing the leather straps over her ears and buckled it under her jaw. "Fine don't tell me." I said walking away before he could respond.
