Midnight Memories

Oh hey! I didn't see you there. So let's narrow it down to the basics here for a moment. It is currently 9:00 pm and Bri (my bff), Jaden (my boyfriend), Connor (my brothers bff), Alexis (my other bff), Genesis (my other bff), Luke (my brother), Adam (my brothers other bff), Ronan ( my brother other bff), and Aprilia ( Genesis's bff) were at my house. Since we live in the country my parents say we can do what we want because we live in the country. Anyways, let's get back to the story only this time at the beginning.

Jaden, my brother and Jay's brothers just arrived at my house. Jay and I went into my room. My brother and Jay's brothers went downstairs into the basement.

"Omg! Jaden stop it!" I laughed

"Stop what?" Jaden says as he smirks

"Yeah that's what I thought." I say while looking at him smiling.

It was the 10th of July at 7pm. Jaden had come over to hang out only for a couple of hours which then his mom said he had to spend the night. When we asked why she had said that they had to go to the hospital in San Francisco for their best friend. (Yes I know you might be asking, why in San Fran? Well let me tell you a background story of Jaden, he's not from Sheboygan..... Like AT ALL! He is from San Francisco). Anyways, back to the story. When I found out I was super excited! Then I also remembered my bff's Bri, Alexis, and Genesis were supposed to come over in half an hour and Jaden was supposed to be gone. I didn't tell them!! No text, No email, No call, NO NOTHING.

"Hey Jay I have to call up a couple of friends is it ok if you hang out with our bros?" I questioned.

"Sure, just don't take long. I'll be waiting." He replied.

"Ok." I stated.

So when I went to call up my friends I realized that they were SUPER early. At the time I was surprised on how early they got here, but at the same time I really didn't care.

" I was just going to call you guys." I said

" About what?????" Bri asked.

" You'll find out." I replied.

" Do I want to know?" They all asked.

" I don't know?!" I retorted.

So then we all walked in the house and I gave them a tour of our new house since we just moved 3 weeks ago. After the tour we all went to my room so that they could get all their stuff situated.

" Wow, Em! Your room is so be-utiful!" Bri said.

" Thank you, but you don't have to say that." I responded with.

"No, IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!" Bri said back.

"She's not lying." Genesis added.

"OMG guys, stop it, you are making me blush!!!" I said.

"Em, you are so rich, you have to have a beautiful house!" They both responded.

"We don't own a business like you do, we can never have a home like this!" Alexis added.

"Em to be honest I love your room and you." Jaden said lovingly.

I looked over to Jaden and blushed, then he looked over to me and put his arm around me. Then I looked around the room I saw all the eyes just looking at me and that is when I started to feel my face get red hot.

" Oh come on Em we're just complementing." Jay told me.

" I know it's just that...... well.... You guys know that I don't like it when people do that." I stated.

It was nine o'clock and we all decided to get something to drink. When they were picking something out I decided to go out on our big back porch. When I was out there I remembered what some of the "popular" girls said to me.

" You're no good. Did we ask you stupid?"

Then I remembered them calling me names like; idiot, stupid, medusa, etc. Then I look back at my friends and I remembered how THEY were the ones by my side the whole time and THEY told me not to let anything Drag me Down. You wanna know the one song that popped into my head that night? Well it was "Drag Me Down" By: One Direction. So I started to sing it out loud.

" All my life, you stood by me, when no one else was ever behind me." I whispered.

"With your love, nobody can drag me down!" I whispered again.

" Yo Em, what are you doing?" Asked Jaden.

"Nothing, just looking out." I quickly responded.

" Are you sure you weren't just singing?" Questioned Jay.

" Fine, I was quietly singing." I retorted.

" I thought of something and it made me think of and start singing a song." I said after.

We then walked back into the house. I was slightly embarrassed since my boyfriend heard me singing to myself. Although I have heard Jaden sing before it was embarrassing.

" So, what do you guys want to do next?" I questioned them.

" Nerf war? Only if Jaden and Emma are there and on separate teams!" Stated Adam.

" How about not. Let's play a game of........... Hide & Seek? All who want to say I!" I exclaimed.

"I" they all said.

So we all went out to my porch and it was pitch black.

" OH! Can we keep it this way?" asked Connor.

" No, there is something that I would like too show you all." I said.

" Ok?" replied Bri.

So what happened next will blow your minds. I walked back inside only to grab a remote. Not just any old remote. Then I showed them and they acted surprised until..................... I pressed one small button, the only button and it turned on lights. But not just any lights, football stadium lights. The lights lit up our entire 3 acres of land.
