Dipper woke up to find himself back at their camp, leaning against a tree. He noticed that bandages had been wrapped around his stomach and were stained with blood.  Looking around to see the camp mostly abandoned, he tried to get up and search for everyone else. His stomach felt sick, if it could even be considered a stomach at this point.

Everything was spinning and his legs trembled as he stood. Dipper tried using the tree to keep him stable, but ended up falling and hitting his head.

"Ouch," he hissed, rubbing the back of his head.

"Yeah, I wouldn't try getting up anytime soon," remarked Wendy as she looked down at Dipper.

"Oh! You're back!" he exclaimed, sitting up.

Wendy had Bill next to her, with a collar and leash of some sort made of vines. She tossed the leash to Dipper. "There. Now it should be easier to keep ahold of him."

"Thanks Wendy, but where were you all?" he asked.

"We didn't expect you to wake up so fast, so we went out scavenging. Looks like I'm the first back."

"Did you find anything?" asked Dipper, tying Bill's leash to a tree.

"Nothing worth anything," she replied with a sigh. Bill hissed at Dipper, reminded him of the deer he almost let go.

Dipper thought for a second before responding, "Maybe we should try sneaking into town, there's got to be enough food there, right?"

Wendy glared at him, "Do you want to get yourself killed? That's a suicide mission. No sane person would agree to do that."

Pacifica and a couple other mutated townspeople ran into the camp.

"What are you all doing running in here?" asked Wendy.

Pacifica stopped to catch her breath, "Remember those humans who tried to kill Dipper with that harpoon. They're back and it seems like they won't be so easy to get rid of this time."

Dipper stood up, feeling better, "I'll go."

Everyone turned to look at him. "What are you thinking?!" exclaimed Wendy.

Dipper flapped his wings a couple times, becoming air-bound, "It seems like they want to capture one of us. So, I'll go. I'm dead weight here, anyways."

"What do you suppose you mean by that?" asked Wendy, slowing become more irritated.

"All I do it get sick and come up with bad ideas. You all can survive without me."

Without bothering to hear what the others had to say, he took flight. Flying through the forest, trying to make himself seen.

Suddenly he heard a gun shot and a net flew out towards him. It got caught around him and dragged him towards his capture, twisting his wings at angles that almost broke them. He was quickly drug through the forest before coming to a stop in front of Mable, who was holding the contraption that caught him and someone he didn't know, but he looked quite a bit like his Grunkle Stan.

"Here it is!" said Mable, triumphantly gesturing towards Dipper. "A subject for all the testing you require!"
