As lunch rolled around, I went to my usual spot, alone. According to rumor, this supposedly is where I cut myself and summon demon spirits and all that other crap. But no, instead I slide slowly into a silent depression. I'm used to it. As I sat down, a figure approaches me. It was Lukas. He sat down next to me and started to eat the food on his tray. "So... I thought you would've made some friends in athletics.", I said to him. "Well, you see, you're kinda my friend and I don't leave my friends to hang out with some douche bags.", he replied back. "Oh, so we're friends now?", I asked. "Yes, I would like that. Wouldn't you?", he answered back.
"I guess."
"Ok then."
And we sat there. Eating our lunch in silence. After lunch, I had science then theater arts. I love theater. It may sound corny, but it is like escaping to another world. When I got to theater, guess who was sitting in the classroom? Lukas. I sat down in my spot which was all the way across the room from his seat. The bell rang and the Mr. Loskey stepped to the front of the room. "Ok so to cut to the chase, you have a project. A BIG ONE, capiche? I'll be partnering y'all up randomly. Then you and your partner will draw a subject out of the Hat of Acting. This will either be a serious topic or a funny one. You never know. You will have one month to research and write a script based on this topic. It must have at least five scenes, 3 props, one setting, and it MUST include you and your partner. Oh yeah, and you must make and get the props by yourself. You will preform these to me and the rest of the class at the end of this month.", he said. As I began to doodle, he went to his desk and started calling out the names of the partners he'd randomly selected. This went on and on until I heard my name. "Skye is with....", he started as he looked around the room for another person without a partner,"Lukas!" I looked over and saw Lukas raise his eyebrows in my direction. I did the same facial expression back and went back to doodling. Finally, it was our turn to draw from the "Hat of Acting". Lukas looked at me, and I motioned for him to go and draw for us. He got up, walked over to the front of the room, and drew a piece of paper. He walked to my desk and set the paper down. I unfolded the paper and it read: Love.
