'In the sun we will find our passion, in the sun we will find our purpose.'
Everything was quiet; so quiet. She could hear own breathing, as her eyes scanned the dark corridor in front of her. She wasn't alone, she knew that. Foot steps patted against the cold, concrete floor, as she felt her grip on the shotgun in her hands tighten immediately. It wasn't long before he was right in front of her, his expression making his facial features stand out in the dim light of the room. He was right there. Why couldn't she shoot? Her fingers ached to pull the trigger, but something inside her stopped herself from doing it. Cautiously, he reached a hand out, touching the her own face, as her breath hitched in her throat. His cool finger tips traced along her skin, and she was frozen, just like that-
"Casey, wake up sweetie." A sweet voice woke the young, brunette up from her deep sleep. She fluttered her eyelids slightly, and groggily reached a hand over, wiping the sleep out of her eyes. She sat up in her bed, in a slouched manner, as her cousin, Val, was standing there, arms crossed and all.
"You were asleep all day, I was getting worried for you." Val explained, looking around the room that Casey was in. The teenager heard her speak, but she wasn't listening. Her mind was focused on what she had been dreaming about before her awakening. She nodded her head at her older cousin, her eyes focused on the ground. Soon after her cousin left the room, a sense of anxiety filled her mind. It wasn't long before she hoped that her dream would have continued.
Shaking her head, she sighed, unable to shake the thought away. Casey groaned softly, before getting out of the warm bed she was in. This day would be just like any day, of course. Walking to the bathroom, her bare feet walking across the cold, polished, wooden floor, she prepared herself for the day.
