I ran down the stairs all excited to eat and get going. Today's finally my 1st day. The first day of going back to my city of tears. Pero Adja! I'm a Dirks now. I have every bit of right to exist there, as any of them.
"Pinaghirapan namin to ni mama" Kylie whispered.
"O sya, mag ingat ka at isama mo na si Rocco sa pagpunta mo, loner rin yun eh"
Tumawa si Cassy na ngayon ay kinikilalang Kylie.
"Opo nay.. sabay na po kami ni Mr.Emo mag bus sa GVA university. Pray for me nay" sabay hug ni Kylie sa mom nya
"Hoi Kylie! Magmadali ka.. naiinip na si kuya kondoktor dito kakahintay sayo!" Sigaw ni Rocco
"Yes po. Thanks sa paghintay"
Nang nakaalis na si Kylie nasambit naman ni Marina na "Lord, bigyan nyo po ng puusang lakas ang anak ko na makaharap nya mga Havatti and Madrigal.. ingatan nyo po puso nya. Her heart is strong but it doesnt mean it can't break again"
Sa GVA university:
"Hon, can I take a rain check on our date please! Nag promise pala ako kay mom na Im gonna go with her at a gala so I don't want to disappoint" pakiusap ni Crystal sa nobyo.
"Crystal why do you always put me as a second option for everything you do?"
"hon, seryoso..eto na nman ba tayo" pag pout ni Crystal
"Sorry na. Im good. Just..I'm sorry. It's been awhile na kasi na di tayo nag bonding. I just miss you okay Crystal?" Pagsusuyo ni James.
James and Crystal grew close after Cassy's departure and every moment spent missing Cassy were also moments filled with comfort and care by Crystal. Crystal in turn became James' new breath of air. Easy, warm and sure. James knew with Crystal, sapat ang pagmamahal nya para pasayahin sya. And so.. they've been together for 2 years.
"Sorry rin. Promise hun. I'll make it up to you this coming V-day okay" pag back hug ni Crystal kay James.
"Cge na. You're rehearsals are about too start. Let's walk you there"
Kylie's POV:
Huwaw. Ang laki naman nitong iskul na ito.
"Rocco , tingin mo dito na magsisimula mga pangarap natin?"
"Di lang yan! Dito ako magkaka lovelayp!" Tawang sabi ni Rocco. "Pero seryoso na. Syempre, kaya nga tayo nagpakahirap sa entrance exam na yun noh. We're gonna be the best engineer and nurse bes"
"Tama! Kaya natin to kaya halika ka na hanapin ang orientation hall" Kylie ran through the halls of the university.
... Orientation hall..
"Pres, ok ka na ba for your speech later? Nako marami na namang mabibiktima sa kagwapuhan mo mahal na Hokage" sabi ng isang coordinator na estudyante.
"Gago, di yan ang pinunta ko Ralph. Im here to welcome all the aspiring engineers and ma establish and student council natin..kaya pwede ba, kalma ka lang." Pag explain ni James.
"Basta, sa akin mga chicks ha" sabay pg kindat ni Ralph.
"You're hopeless man" James tapped his friend's back.
Although James looked confidently ready for his Presidential welcome to the students, internally he was still a bit scared. Alam nyang nakailan na sya sa mga speech na ito kaso every time, nararamdaman parin nya ang mga kaba and pagdududa sa sarili. It was always through Crystal na nakakuha sya ng lakas. Kaso this time wala ang girlfriend nya.
"Get it together. Di ka na bata. Tandaan mo yan" pagpapaalala sa sarili.
As he walked in the stage after being called, the limelight solely for him.. James closed his eyes.
And for a moment he remembered her.
It was as if, a wind whispered a memory..
"Bata! Tahan na. Naniniwala ako sayo at tandaan mo.. we either win or learn pero Proud ako sayo po"
"Cassy.. ang daya mo" james he whispered
A painful knot churned his heart but it was enough to push him forward to the stage nonetheless.
"James, don't disappoint" sabi nya sa sarili.
..(In the crowd)
"Ayan na mga te, si pogi President James. Sabay nyo e cheer ang bandana ha!" Pag utos ni Dylzi sa mga kasamahan sa James fanclub.
"Grabe te, tong program mo mga fanbase wagas! E pinagnanasaan agad ang Presidente nyo?!" Di makapaniwalang sabi ni Rocco kay Kylie.
"Nako Rocco, intindihin mo nalang. Walang ibang magawa sa buhay lang siguro o nangangailangan ng inspirasyon." Paliwanag ni Kylie.
"Hah! Yeah yeah..but if I know, teamSawi yan pupunta" pabiro ni Rocco
"Ay grabe sya! Ano bang masama sa TeamSawi ha kung mahal mo naman?" Sambit ni Kylie.
"Ay mas grabe ka! Mahal agad.. di ba pwedeng crush muna? Ikaw Kylie ha, san mo yan nahugot ang mahal words of wisdom mo" pangungulit ni Rocco sa kaibigan.
"Ewan ko sa iyo!" Tulak ni Kylie kay Rocco at pumunta sa pinakamalapit sa stage.
When the lights came up and the view of the limelight came about.. she knew it was about to start all over again.
There at the stage was her estranged best friend at pinakamalapit sa puso nya ng bata pa.
Si James Madrid in all his glory standing just a few feet away from her.
"Team Sawi nga ba?" Kylie whispered into the air
