Side A: Part One
Minseok rolls his head over the table after a long silence and mutters again.
"Maybe I should draw a rainbow," he thinks as he squeezes some art abilities he knows there could be hidden somewhere in his brain. He struggles again after that, wondering what to put up next. And he is about to grab a handful of his hair when the door abruptly flies open, its knob colliding loudly with the adjacent wall.
"Do you know where that guy is?!" the rude teenage boy suddenly vaguely exclaims, he wears a large gray Supreme hoodie that's a tad too big for him but he is tall so it's okay because it looks fashionable on him, catching his breath as he scans the room quickly. And then dashing shamelessly out again in the hallway; doesn't seem to be pleased.
"Geez Yeol, at least close the door!"
Someone groggily lifts his head from behind a pile of geography books, reddish-purple hair dishevelled from sleeping too long. His heavy eyelids hardly open at the abrupt wake-up call.
"Aaah, hyung?!" the puppy-looking boy cries, sounding offended. The two are making unwelcomed squabbles because of some allegedly missing teamwork and they are not even classmates.
Suddenly (and thankfully) some laid-back chic guy throws the two upperclassmen a well-aimed crampled paper...and that's when their fingers tremble in their pockets. Two tables behind them is the temporary assistant librarian shooting daggers at the backs of their head. If they would just look closer, they would have took time to appreciate the boy over the counter being actually too cute and a little small only a small portion of his body can be seen as he sat there but because the aura behind the boy is dark, all they could see is his cold, terrifying couple of eyes that are enough to threaten their existence.
Do Kyungsoo enjoyes the silence after that.
Kyungsoo sighs deeply to stop his blood from boiling. Just the other day he had to stop three freshmen from hitting books on each other. Why books? Kyungsoo thinks inwardly, when there were trashcans and baseball bats just outside the corner of the library.
This is all partly because of Jongdae—that bastard, that he has to take the punishment for not turning in the project for second quarter grading. Not that he is totally complaining, he likes being in the library actually. He has always a passion for reading and he could read a dozen of books in a week if only those part-time jobs and homeworks don't occupy much of his time in a daily basis.
The owl-eyed boy's forehead creases at the sight of the torn paper at the last page of the book yesterday. The check out library card almost slips when he turns the book upside down. He recognises almost immediately the blue-inked scrawl seemingly produced by a gang chickens written on the card.
Kim Jongin.
It is always in blue.
Maybe this Kim Jongin really likes blue. All of the other student's names on the card have their names in black.
Kyungsoo flips the book carefully to see the title at the front.
"Howl's Moving C...astle?" the assistant librarian's brows furrow, his eyes go to the cover that is so charming and colourful. From what he remembers, he always (as in always) sees the familiar name on every check out card on every book he saw so far in this entire school library. It is as if this mysterious student had read them all.
Why, he fixes his eyes on the name, this is almost a fairytale. He even read this?
