"Before I'm going to help you, you have to promise me this won't end in a disaster."

Stabbing the straw into my juice box I gave my partner another serious look. The bells had just announced the beginning of lunch break and everyone was enjoying their meals in either the classrooms or the courtyard. This divine nuisance and I were overviewing said yard and the merrily chatting students sitting on the benches or lying on the grass which stretched from one tall school building to another. We had 3 different buildings to be exact. Two of them featured classrooms and stuff while the third one was the gymnasium.

"Oh, C'mon, don't tell me you forgot about all those times things had a happy ending?"

"I didn't forget. I just don't trust things as they are. I wouldn't be surprised if I found out these happy ends became bad ends after I stopped caring."

I took a large sip of my orange juice and tried to find my target for today between all those unfamiliar faces. Kohno Michiru, a shy girl I never talked to up until now. It would be an underestimation to say, it would be hard to spot her, but even though I had no idea what she looked like, I knew he's wasn't going to let me off that easy.

"Geez, when will you stop being such a distrustful little bitch."

"When will YOU stop being such a big-mouthed and cocky shithead? Honestly, you're no one to judge."

I could see the anger welling up inside him and involuntarily started to grin. Most of the time he's was more of a child than a real god if you asked me.

"When you're finished acting all high and mighty, I would like to start with the fucking mission!"

"Yeah, whatever."

I took the last sip and threw the now empty package away before heading to a small group of girls sitting on a bench underneath a tree. Like I said, I didn't know what Kohno looks like, but with him floating all around that brunette girl on the far left, there is no doubt she's the one I'm looking for.

I was almost standing in front of the girls and still didn't know what to say, but the one thing I learned while being pestered by a 'god' is being spontaneous.

"Excuse me? You're Kohno Michiru, right? I'm Ishii Reina and someone just told me to give you a message."

I put on a sugary sweet smile that would be fitting for a far more innocent girl than me and tilted my head slightly to the right. The three girls just looked at me dumbfounded for a second before they start giggling and whispering to themselves.

"Oh my god, Michi has a secret admirer!"

"Oh shut up, it might be a joke or a task for an upperclassman!"

Kohno's face was now bright red and she stared at her feet. Her two friends just continued giggling and making her blush even more.

"A boy asked me to tell you to wait at the tennis court after school. I guess he will tell you the real message then. He seemed really nervous by the way. Anyways, good luck!"

Still smiling, I took my leave and tried to ignore the loud and excited chatter behind me. I couldn't remember if I behaved just like that when I had my first crush on someone, but I hoped I had at least half the fun they had right now!

"One done, one to go. So what's the boy's name?"

Having not much of my break left, I started looking for the boy Kohno had a crush on. But again, I never met or talked to him before, so I needed some help.

"His name is Nishimura Hideki. Like I said he's a member of the schools Track Team and he should be.... right over there with his buddies!"

I hesitated for a moment that name rang a bell! But before I could even ask, he shook his head and looked at me like I just told him I still believed in the Toothfairy.
