A/N: This is my first one-shot and I came up with this idea all thanks to a dream. Yeah, I know, I have weird dreams. I apologize for not having any Dean in here. I didn't expect it to be as long as it is and adding Dean would have made it too long for my first one-shot.
***********************************************************************************************
You and Sam met four years ago, and got married about two year ago. You had talked about having kids and when you told Sam you were four weeks pregnant on your second anniversary, he couldn't be more excited.
When you found out you were having twins at your second appointment, you went into shock. Thankfully Sam knew what was going through your head and talked to the doctor while you just stared into space. Although you are thankful for the blessings you have been given, you weren't sure if you could handle two babies growing inside of you, let alone once they were born. Twins was the one word you dreaded since finding out you were pregnant. You knew they ran in your family and knew it was highly likely but you were hoping to luck out like your mom did. Clearly that wasn't in the cards for you. The other thing that scared you about having twins was your size. You're a petite young woman standing at 4'11". So, combine how small you are and the giant that your married to, you couldn't fathom how one kid would fit let alone two.
As your belly started to grow it began to get harder and harder to do anything. By the beginning of your third trimester, you could barely fit behind the wheel of your vehicle. By the time you were 33 weeks, your doctor put you on bed rest due to your small frame. Once that happened, Sam decided to work from home to make sure you stayed off your feet and rested. Bed rest sucked but having Sammy around all the time made it worth the boredom. When you reached 37 weeks, your doctor said that since you are pregnant with twins, they could come at any point. So, you were prepared for them to come early. That's why neither you nor Sammy realized what was going on when you went to the hospital for the first time.
Now your 39 weeks pregnant and just want these kids out of you. And you may get your wish today.
"Sam!" you gasp out as you feel a sudden tightening in your lower abdomen. This was the second one in the last hour. You hear Sam running up the stairs and watch as tumbles into your bedroom.
"Y/N, are you okay? Is it the babies?" Sam asked as he kneeled in front of you with one hand on your swollen stomach and the other on your cheek.
"I'm not sure but I think it's time." You quickly reply as you feel another one hit.
"Okay, let's get you to the hospital then. The bag and everything else needed is in the car. Can you walk?" Sam asked. You knew if you said no he would carry you and you didn't want him to do that. You were in labor not dying.
"Yeah, I can." You reply as Sam carefully helps you from the bed, down the stairs, and into the car.
On the way to the hospital, you had one more contraction that felt more like a cramp than what the ones earlier did. They got you into a room and all hooked up. By the time the doctor came in fifteen minutes later, you had had no more contractions.
"It looks like it was a false alarm." Said the doctor, who let that set in for a second.
"Crap, I totally forgot about Braxton Hicks contractions." Sam said as what the doctor said clicked in his head.
"It's okay, Mr. Winchester, it happens all the time. And quiet honestly, I was surprised myself to see that it was false labor since you guys are having twins and are already at 39 weeks. So, depending on how Y/N is feeling and how the babies look, we will let nature take its course up until 42 weeks. At that point we will induce labor. Now I know you want to do a completely natural birth, Y/N, but just be prepared that it may come to that simply due to how small you are." the doctor said, making sure Y/N understood what she was saying.
"I understand Doctor," Y/N replied, "but me and Sam have come to the decision that we want to have the baby at a birthing center instead of the hospital. We came here first because we weren't sure."
"That's perfectly fine but if you reach that 42 week mark with no baby, then you will need to come to the hospital to deliver the babies. I would also suggest to try some home remedies to induce labor." The doctor said before telling the nurse to bring the release forms and that he would see them at their appointment next week.
**time jump - 2 weeks and 6 days later**
You are now 41 weeks and 6 days pregnant. You have one more day before they will have to induce labor. The doctor was still surprised to see you come in at 41 weeks with not babies. The only good thing was that both babies were now in birthing position so you could go ahead with your natural birthing plan.
So far you and Sam have tried everything. You went to the zoo two days in a row and walked as much as you could, bumpy car rides, castor oil, lots and lots of sex, and, even as much as hate it, spicy food. At this point, you can no longer walk on your own because you constantly are tripping over your feet and only get up to use the restroom. You don't even stand to take a shower, Sam has you sit on a shower seat and he washes you.
Your just a few hours away from having to be induced and you and Sammy have decided to try on more thing before giving up all hope. You decided to eat some pineapple and then work on guided relaxation that both you and Sammy learned how to do early in the pregnancy.
You had finished the pineapple and had been doing the guided relaxation for almost a half hour when you felt your first contraction but you ignored it thinking it was just a Braxton Hicks since it wasn't that strong. About fifteen minutes later you felt another one but it was much stronger than any of the other ones you had felt. Sammy must've noticed you're discomfort that time since he got up and come over to you.
"Are you okay, Y/N?" Sam asked.
"Yeah, just a couple of contractions that's all." You say as calmly as you can.
"How many and how far apart?"
"So far only two and fifteen minutes apart. The first one didn't hurt all that much but that last one . . ." before you could finish your response another contraction hit.
"Okay let's get you up onto the couch at least since I know you won't leave this time until your water breaks. You're just lucky that the birthing center is no more than five minutes from us because I wouldn't let you wait." Sam rants for a minute and you let him. You know he isn't a fan about waiting until your water breaks but you want to be in a familiar place as long as possible.
Sam moves you so his back is against the arm of the couch and you are between his legs. You have soothing music playing in the background as you breathe through each contraction and Sam distracts you with talk of the future. Two hours later and when your contractions are nearing nine minutes, you feel a wetness between your legs. Sam doesn't seem to notice what happened until the worst contraction you had experienced yet occurred. Once you're through the latest contraction and Sam gets up reposition you, he notices what has happened.
"Y/N?"
"Sam, its definitely time now."

FanfictionThis takes place in an AU in which the monsters in the show don't exist and Sam basically lives the apple pie life with the reader. This summary sucks but I love this one-shot.
