merman bill x ford

Part 2

Ford got home after finally getting a tank big enough for bill, which was no easy task as hardly anyone sold tanks this big in gravity falls but he did find one that he hoped would be suitable for bill. He pushed it inside against the wall and started filling it with water, panting from how hard it was to get it inside and looked over at bill who had his eyes closed but opened them once he heard ford coming in.

"you're back! great now i can finally get out of cramped box" bill said attempting to lift himself out of box but was in too much pain to do so. "a little help here sixer" bill said still wincing in pain and looking up at ford

"sixer?" ford said confused as he walked over to bill to help him into the tank once it was filled 

"yeah cause you have six fingers" bill said like it was the most obvious thing in the world

"my name is ford you can just call me that" ford said picking bill up and moving him to the tank 

"hmmmm i'll call you what i want" bill said once he was in the tank and let out a sigh of content at how much room he had now 

"i'm guessing you like the tank" ford said choosing to ignore his earlier statement 

"oh yes this much better" bill said smiling cutely making ford stare at his face for a little longer than was necessary before moving his eyes to check on his wounds  

"do they still hurt?" ford asked as he looked at his now bloody bandages, he would have to change them soon 

"yeah but not as much as before" bill said gritting his teeth in pain when he accidentally banged his tail against the side of the tank  

"i should get you some proper help" ford said looking worried and was about to leave when bill suddenly grabbed his hand in a tight grip  

"don't go! they can't know i'm here, they'll take me away!" bill said sounding panicked 

"bil, whats wrong!" ford said worriedly 

"i don't want any other human to see me, just keep me a secret!" bill said gripping ford's hand tighter 

"why don't you want other humans to see you?" ford asked 

"i..it's just...they always...try to catch me...or hurt me...keep them away!" bill said his eyes darting around looking anywhere except ford

"bill, it's alright, i won't let other people see you....its alright" ford said trying to calm him down 

"good" bill said quietly sinking to the bottom of his tank and wrapping his arms around himself . Ford left the room thinking he should leave bill alone for a bit.

Ford returned a few minutes later with a tray of food on the tray was a cheese and ham sandwich sliced in two and a glass of milk though ford didn't know what merpeople ate he hoped bill would like it. He went over to the tank to see bill still at the bottom of his tank but looked up when ford came back into the room. Frod set the tray on a table nearby and went to tell bill he was going to change his bandages. Once ford had changed bill's bandages he went to pick up the tray and brought it over to bill.

"what's that?" bill asked not sounding the most interested 

"its food for you" ford said holding the tray out to bill 

bill stared at the food for a few seconds then picked up one half of the sandwich sniffed it then took a bite his eyes widened and he started eating all of it quickly "this stuff is great!" bill said happily licking his lips after he'd finished the sandwich and smiling in the most adorable way making ford blush very slightly 

"i'm glad you like it" ford said smiling then held out the glass of milk "why don't you try this?" ford asked giving bill the glass. bill grabbed it hoping it would taste as good as the sandwich and drank it all making loud gulping noises and then put the glass down on the tray once he was done 

"that's great too!" bill said continuing to smile and making ford smile in return, he was really starting to like bill......like him alot.
