My Monologue
After people start reacting to my lack of a monologue.
Hey you in the clothes, could you have a little respect!?!  I'm trying to read! It irritates me to no end to see how disrespectful people are. I mean sure I'm supposed to be doing a monologue right now but I just wanted to read instead so can you please stop disrupting me and let me get back to doing nothing. I mean jeez it's like i'm having to do a monologue now telling you to leave me alone. And a monologue is exactly what I didn't want to do! And yet here I am talking up a storm, disturbing the peace when all I wanted to do is read. I can't even imagine how many valid critiques i'm going to have. Some probably saying my blocking isn't very good, one probably saying that I didn't embody the character well enough, I might even get a critique saying that they felt like i was just rambling on and that there wasn't any sustenance to my monologue saying I'm just doing this for points. And to all those critics and analysts I say this and only this; you're right.
Price of a Mile Monologue
Such waste of life! {Seething anger} You are out of line! You had no right to order those battalions to attack that regiment! No Right! Did you even think of the cost! Half a million men are gone... and we only gained six miles. How many dreams faded away, how many promises were broken, they won't be coming home. There are roads which must not be followed, armies which must not be attacked, towns which must not be besieged, positions which must not be contested. So I ask you, what is the price of a mile?
